Connect your Steam account and grow or jumpstart your GOG.com library.

UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.

Trid: Tried few times and only thing I got was "No eligible games found"...
Is your profile set to public? If not, set it to public. If it is, try loging out, and than back in, it helped in my case, or at least I thought it did, and it just worked by itself :)

Lemon_Curry: And implying that we're all Steam users. Tsk tsk...

Shamy25: How did I imply that?
You didn't. :)

Twigleaf: General question. Concerning the CLASSIC Fallout series. As you know, you can no longer buy the classic series on GOG, so this new system is not going to overwrite my " account library " with the newer Fallout will it.

I know its not on the list now, but it may in the future. I may be over-thinking it, but I do not want to lose my Fallout Classics in my library to be overwritten with the new.
This is why I copy my DRM-free purchases to an external hard drive after buying them. Just in the event of something like that happening.

Wow, I'm pretty impressed with what GOG has done here - it must've been a ton of work for their business team to negotiate agreements with so many parties for this! Great news for us, thanks GOG!

This isn't a concern specific to GOG connect. The way connect works, is it sees which games you have on steam, and essentially gives you a free ticket to add the GOG version to your GOG account. It doesn't interact with the actual game files on Steam in any way.

To those asking about privacy concerns, GoG is not interested in selling your information; but the connect process involves opening your steam account to public viewing (showing playing and purchase history) as it accesses your steam account through steam's api. Being open to the public, any random web scraper can come by and grab that data.

Miljac: Okay I just did a stupid thing. It finally recognised my games from steam, and I hited refresh button before redeeming them. So, games are gone now, and I have to wait again. :/
Lol that reminded me when I rolled 104 on Baldur's Gate, click store, wanted to see an other try so i clicked reroll again and then clicked store again.

Great!

I have a big problem though. I plan to migrate Steam account eventually. And since I can only bind one Steam account to my GOG, this means I am stuck chosing between my existing library, and a possible future library.

Help?

So it finally works again and I can claim Braid ... but ... I am not sure I want to...

The thing is I usually bought games that were a bit more expensive here than on Steam (lower sale deal than on Steam) or that I just have wishlisted on Steam and not bought yet. Because I support this site and by claiming games I save money but somehow feel like I support buying stuff on Steam instead of GoG and just claiming it here...

NodCommander: I have a question: Is it possible to connect multiple Steam accounts to the same GOG account?
no

Doesn't look like it, unfortunately: "You can connect only one Steam account with your GOG.com library. This process is permanent – choose wisely!"

6. Can I disconnect or change my connected Steam account?
You can only connect one Steam library per GOG.com account. This process is permanent.

EDIT: Why do you plan on "migrate Steam account" anyways? :S

RadonGOG: Hand out giftkeys to friends who aren´t massive GOGers yet instead sounds like a good idea, doesn´t it?
Sure.
