UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.

noir_7: possibly not since they're not in my library. I got no prompt to do so so I thought that was the end of the process.
Annoying.

WvStolzing: By the way, you can still add The Witcher to your GOG account through the 'backup' program. Check out:

https://www.gog.com/witcher/backup

Just paste in the product code from steam. This is for both TW1 and TW2.
Added both. You're a wealth of information, thanks for the link.

lefty: That's a good question. GOG should extend that time until they fix the connection issue.

grendael: Your account is likely private. Make your account not private. Worked for me.

You'd have the exact same problem if you tried to sell/trade cards.
Believe me my friend, this was the first thing I've done... I can read manuals, FAQ's, etc.
Please add more games like prison architect, etc.

WvStolzing: After *matching*, did you click the button to *add* them to your library?
I did that and still got nothing

I've had the same experience; I think mine went through after a few retries. (retried adding the matched titles)

well its too late now since all the previous games were removed ...
Went on vacation and sent a message when the Connect programs started asking for help with my issues connecting... Here I come back and they've removed the first wave of games and haven't even responded to my message...
How often do I need to re-check if games have been added to GOG Connect? I don't want to miss any games, but after a couple of weeks it's getting really tiresome refreshing the list every hour, and I could really use some sleep too.

So how long you've been awake? Two days? Three?
Don't forget to let us know when you start seeing things.
Running on 13 days now...or maybe 3. Or 23. It's hard to tell anymore.

Well, given that GOG Connect hasn't been going that long, the check might feasibly be more like once a week, especially given the current availability time-frame of the games released so far.

BUT WHAT IF I MISS SOMETHING

;)
I love the idea but the implementation is lacking. 602 games, not a one is transferable, even the 'Free 2 Play' titles? Kinda lame and having to check back frequently to 'catch' the odd title that might match up? Meh.

I'd switch to GoG over Steam if I could transfer my library but that's a LOT of content to leave behind.

Edit: Feature request - can GoG at least make it so that it can scan peoples Steam games and say "Owed on Steam" even if it's not yet part of GoG Connect?

OK -- you got me. I only skimmed your post and totally missed the satirical element. :-)

Feels like there have been far too many similar posts recently!
GOG Devs, a suggestion:

GOG Connect will fall into userbase obscurity unless there is a way to access it prominently available somewhere for both new and old users alike to actually see it on a regular basis so that it becomes part of the GOG-think universe. Much like the "RECLAIM" link that is only visible at the bottom navigation bar on the REDEEM games page, nobody will even know GOG Connect exists if it isn't visible somewhere prominent enough for it to enter into people's minds enough to remember it exists. Even if there are no games currently offered through it at some point, to keep the feature in people's minds it has to appear somewhere greyed out with a mouse-over bubble of "no games currently offered through Connect currently". I would suggest it being either under the top level "GAMES" menu, or the top level "ACCOUNT" menu. The placement order doesn't matter, but put it somewhere that people can go find it easily or see it and click on it from time to time when they feel like it.
