UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.
I got it to connect today. It shows that I already own 10 of the games on GOG which are elligible, but don't own any of the rest on Steam that are currently available. I thought I did own a few of them, but it turns out to not be the case. Bummer. :) I have some sequels or other games in particular series that I confused though, but who knows, perhaps some of those will show up on GOG connect in the future also. Still pretty cool to see this feature available, and thankful to GOG and the publishers for providing the service!
Got 7 new GOG entries (finally went through)...yeah!
Pity that Saints Row The Third isn't part of GOG Connect 'cause I do have that one over at Steam.
I finally got around to changing my steam privacy settings.
However it keeps telling that it has found no elifgible games.
Even though Braid is one of them.
And it seems I'm not the only one with this problem.
Is it just a matter of time and patience? Or is there anything we should do?
Just want to say a BIG Thanks to GOG and all the participating Developers/Publishers.

Pardinuz: Did anyone who has Surgeon Simulator Anniversary Edition on Steam also get the DLC with GOG connect? Or did you get only the base game?

Thanks! I wonder if it's worth bothering support about it, though. It would be nice to get a statement on it from the blues.

mcferson: No no no !!!
If i am on GoG it's NOT to have any concern with these damned thieves from Valve !
Seriously? I really hope this is sarcasm. If not, I have a tin foil hat you can have.

Is there a delay between when I set my Steam profile to public and when I can use GOG Connect?

I had forgotten that mine was set to private because I had a person who had started to bug people on my friends list after I'd blocked them.
it finally just worked for me after failing before, so maybe try again everybody who got the "no eligible games found" thing
I don't think privacy settings matter. Yesterday I put the profile to public. Today it found 3 matches but no imports. Today I put privacy to "get your dirty hands off my profile" and when I refreshed it in gog, the results were the same. Can anyone confirm?

Apologies in advance for double posting. Forum problems. I suspect the original post will pop up shortly after this one

I don't think steam privacy matters can anyone confirm. My tests show it doesn't matter. But i am concerned gog will pull games from library if you can no longer see steam games due to privacy being private

I gave GOG Connect a try, and it failed to properly detect the games in my Steam Library.

Doing a manual check, I have the following games in my Steam library that SHOULD be eligible for the offer.
Unreal Gold
Surgeon Simulator
Trine
VVVVVV
Broken Sword: Director's Cut

There may be some I'm missing, because I'm doing the check manually...

It's giving an Error:
"Not found in your Steam library"

BULLSHIT.

Can this be fixed?!
Thanks Gog + devs!

this is an amazing feature. Hopefully it expands greatly once the kinks of the process get ironed out.

Love this move .
very nice offer.

i have a few questions:

i read this in the q and A

If a game is removed from your Steam account for any reason, such as through manual deletion or a refund – we reserve the right to remove the games from your GOG.com library.
I use only prepaid, so no refunds possible at steam.

Suppose steam has a 'glitch' and game(s) are temporarily 'gone' , but after a while they are back...
what will happen to any 'reclaimed' versions you got at GOG ?
Will they be restored after the glitch is solved?

Another question:

You'll be able to permanently import all the games listed below to your GOG.com library – assuming you own them. The eligible games are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned for more games to come.

You can connect only one Steam account with your GOG.com library. This process is permanent – choose wisely!
i assume these games are free....
This might attract loads of new customers who will only redeem/reclaim the steam games but probably wont buy any newly released games or classic games , unless they are at sales like 1 or 2 euros/dollars.
Chances might be they wont pay a list price but are only here for the free and very cheap.
For the real GoG members this feature is fantastic, they own loads of games on Gog, so its very good they can get some games free, but thousands of newcomers might be free riding, or does gog have a way to check that?

Well, it's starting to work for me. I now have 5 new games added to my GOG account.
