UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.
GOG Connect is fantastic, thank you.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I succeeded in getting one game!! Awesome! Really hoping more games will be included in the program in the future! Thanks GOG!
Yay! A new day, and everything seems to be working (more or less) as expected now. Connected a handful of games - it's nice to consolidate my scattered library a little. =D
For some reason most of my games are showing up but

- Braid

- The incredible adventures of Van Helsing final cut

are marked has if I don't own them on Steam.

Is there anyway to solve this situation?
No no no !!!
If i am on GoG it's NOT to have any concern with these damned thieves from Valve !

MaxFulvus: Just wait and restart later, if you have them on Steam, they will be imported soon or late.
Yep, they finally became available. I had to refresh it yet again now, and the three games became available, and now I've added them to my GOG account. Nice that it finally worked. :)
Dear GOG,
now that you can read my account on steam, would it be possible for you to make "import wishlist" possible? I mean I have mostly done it by hand, but this could also serve you as indicator what people have in their wishlists on steam and it might be a good idea to get on GOG :)

Anyway, thanks for this feature.

I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, but what's the benefit of connecting both accounts? If you already have a game on Steam, what's the point of now being able to play it on gog? It's the same game right? No extra stuff?

If for whatever reason you cannot connect to the net reliably, it's always nice to have a DRM-free copy that doesn't want to phone home. Steam offline mode sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. It's just nice to be able to do this, for example when you travel abroad or travel to some spot where you are not allowed to connect to the internet, like some of my workplaces.

As an update to my earlier messages, it's only fair that I say that I'm set now. I could add 8 games :).

Games on GOG are DRM-free. That means you can play them without an internet connection, back them up to disc, install them without a client. Also, DRM-free games will work forever, whereas Steam games depend on Valve being in business and the servers staying running.
Nevermind the games are in my account but the number of games did not change. Weird.

I now get to play an uncensored version of Saints Row 2 as opposeed to the censored version available for me on steam. (I live in germany)
And that is just one of the many advantages...
Wow, it worked after many tries! I now have a whopping 2 more games on my gog library, alright!

Now just get Bejelewed and Gyromancer (and the Magic the Gathering games) and I'm done with steam for good!!
Hmmmm, just noticed Trine 3 is in the GOG Connect promo, but not listed as a connect game.

Does anyone know if this game can be connected? I have an unused Steam key for this as well.
I don't like the idea of Steam making in-roads into GOG, or the info that may be taken from those that sign up to this.

I do my best to avoid Steam, so I'll pass on this, thanks. Although, I hope this isn't a prelude to further moves on GOG by them.

GOG doesn't need Steam to survive, no matter what they're telling you.
