UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.

yogsloth: GOG, is that really what you wanted?
I have to admit that "GOG drives uptick in Steam installations" isn't the most clear-cut win of a headline.
I have FTL: Faster Than Light on Steam, but can't seem to register FTL:Advanced Edition on GOG. Little help?

Well I'll be. Turns out 3 games that are part of this first wave of steam connect titles I didn't yet own on GOG

- Bit.Trip Runner
- Braid
- Surgeon Simulator 2013

Two I probably wouldn't have bought anyway on GOG, though I might have spent a few dollars on Braid (though I'm not big on plat-formers) so gog hasn't lost out too much on sales from me this time around.
Finally worked after letting it rest for a while. Thanks a lot GOG!! It's great to be able to have a backup of Steam games I bought.

BTW I have the same issue, GOG doesn't see my steam games. Probably it's because I set it to public only 1 hour ago. Maybe it will work later or tomorrow

It worked for me too, Steam games were added to my GOG library.

I have never spent a single cent on Steam, and have installed only two games ever through Steam client, but at least GOG Connect gives some value for those redeemed Steam games that have come from bundles, Kickstarter rewards etc.

Now let's hope there will be more games in the Connect, as this is also a brilliant backup for games which have been bought from Desura/Indie Royale with Steam codes.

MikeMaximus: Still doesn't work for me. I just hope it works once they add more. :)

My profile is public. I'm wondering if it's not working because my profile user name is different than my profile url. But you'd think it wouldn't matter with their API.
Hey mate, your profile is not public:

This profile is private.

Would you please leave a message here in case setting your profile to public fixed the issue for you? I have my profile set to public but I still can't import my steam games

Took about 3 hours for it to work for me after I set it to public from Friends Only.
I have the Van Helsing games on Steam from a bundle (1+2), but they're not found as eligible here. Will unlocking the individual games possible here?

It seems like that only the "Final Cut" version of the game is taken into account, not the original release of Van Helsing. It's als treated as 2 seperate games on Steam, so if Connect doesn't detect it, you have the original version of the game.

Sure thing, I assume its' going to take a few hours until steam refreshes.

I wonder if GOG can check with the API what the privacy settings are, and tell us dumb people that we have it set wrong.
coolio, i'm all hooked up now gog. thanks! <3
I really agree with all you said, Souldrifter.
For me, gog and steam all the way, being the first the place i feel at home.
Opening accounts for each publisher, getting limited installs, hardware dependant, and a time-window functionality are things that i not need.
Steam is an evil that i needed when looking around, where drm practices has been out of control. And still seems the case. Gog is the promised island were finally i could feel at home.

Amazing move from gog, devs and publishers. Long live GOG!
