UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.
This is f**king awesome guys!

Well done!
This is so awesome, I love it and have wanted something like this for months, maybe even years! Thanks GoG for have the guts & techskills to make it happen!

RavenholmDX: It's official, because of this, I will be prioritizing all my game purchases on GOG ahead of Steam. Keep on bringing features like this to the community, and I'll keep giving you my money. Just purchased a bunch of games just because the prospect of this has me excited.
avatar
Pheace: So in other words, this feature is meaningless to you now. :)
Well, I have several hundred games on Steam, GOG will be rotating the games available on Connect, so I'm sure I'll get lots more. It's features like this that make me happy to support GOG over competing platforms.
Wow... This feels rather like a stab to the back, but that's because I've already repurchased all my STEAM titles on GOG as soon as they appeared here. :(

At least it helps others from repurchasing, I suppose.
Now it says I am connected. So far it says I don't have eligible games, not sure which is the complete list now for games. At least I should have e.g. Braid and some of the Bitrunner games on my Steam account, but apparently they are not yet part of this connect feature?

Oh well, nice if some indie games gets added to my GOG account too, I guess. Nice feature anyway.
W
ell now it is trying to connect...but due to high demand it might take several days :D :D :D :D

You can see the whole list if you log out of your gog account and go to the connect page.

Still getting the same not eligible page although I have one eligible game. I guess I will just have to repurchase it here in the next sale.

Crosmando: Yet another example of GOG's amateurism. Get better servers.
Its not GoG's servers that are the bottle neck

PixelBoy: I find it very confusing that the linking process goes to a URL

https://www.gog.com/connect?result=success

but the text displayed on that page says (and has done so for the last 12 hours)

YOUR ACCOUNTS ARE BEING CONNECTED
Due to exceedingly high demand this may take up to several days, please check back later. Thank you for your patience.

So which is true?
Is it a "success" and has already been done, or is it still an ongoing process which may still end up unsuccessfully?
avatar
Konrad: It's essentially a success message – your place is reserved, your games are reserved, we just need time to process the accounts. I can see how this is not clear right now, we'll take another look at that status message.
OK, cool. Thanks.

Actually I managed to get the list of the three games I was eligible for I clicked "add" but then it came back to the situation before. I hope all will be settled. Good luck on PR and support, guys! :P
So, my accounts finally got connected and it found all 8 games I should be eligible for...but after I clicked to add them to my account, I don't have any of the games in my library and the connect page now shows no games available at all. Does it take a while or did my games get vaporized or something?
Well, it finally said account connected.
It told me (as I already knew it should) there were 10 games that could be added.
I clicked the button, and now we're at the below message with nothing new to the account but it does seem it may be getting closer):

ACCOUNTS CONNECTED

Looking for eligible games. Due to exceedingly high demand this may take up to several days, please check back later. Thank you for your patience.

Laudable feature, really nice.

Not sure that I want to use this since I am trying to use Steam as little as possible, alas still lots of games only there :(
Little by little it seems it's improving. It finally detected Van Helsing and Project Zomboid. I clicked to add the 2 games and then it doesn't show any game. So I guess it's connected but in the game page on GOG it still doesn't recognize the game is owned.

Maybe later. Anyway this is a great idea from GOG. Congratulations!
Awesome news, GOG! Keep it up!
