Connect your Steam account and grow or jumpstart your GOG.com library.

UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.
Managed to sign in through Steam. Says it might take a matter of days to actually connect my account. Gonna be bummed if it doesn't connect until after the initial set of games expires...

Accounts linked, but GOG Connect is now trying to find games to import. Step by step...
Interesting initiative, and now GOG knows all the games I own too :)

Regardless I like it, thank you GOG and the publishers involved for doing this. (though in some ways its potentially slightly bad for GOG as it makes it more appealing to get some titles on Steam, to then also get a copy on GOG)
]ACCOUNTS CONNECTED
Looking for eligible games. Due to exceedingly high demand this may take up to several days, please check back later. Thank you for your patience.

I'll see you all in several days. Can't wait!!

Connected.
It seems that multiple connexions are granted at once currently. Courage, my friends !
Groan. Not more I can say.

OOPS, SOMETHING WENT WRONG.
Please try again.

Now it does a new one on me, it no longer shows my steam account connected whereas previously it had been.

It would be great if GoG would issue a troubleshooting telling us what we should do to somehow help this along (like for instance setting our inventory to public).

Here's to hopping they'll fix it as I have many of the offered games in my account...

EDIT: Now it's back to
YOUR ACCOUNTS ARE BEING CONNECTED
Due to exceedingly high demand this may take up to several days, please check back later. Thank you for your patience.

Thing is it should have already connected the accounts. :(

And, not counting the games I ALREADY have on GoG, this process if successful should add 7 games to my account
Yeah, the link is back for me too but the list of eligible games is now empty and no games have been added to my account. Bah.
I'd really like this to work so hopefully GOG can tell me what I already own on Steam which is why I miss many items here because I don't feel like cross-referencing.

Zoidberg: You'd get the same version of the game as if you bought it here. It's in the FAQ, I don't see what else there is to add.
avatar
GOGer: the faq says:

"Importing your game will get you the complete GOG.com release – just as if you had bought it normally. The specifics may vary from game to game, but you can always check what's included on the game's product page."

that implies you would get a region specific version. so if we talk about the witcher 2 (which is censored in AU, for example) someone from AU that actually has the uncut version on Steam would now get the cut gog version? if yes, that's crap. and that's exactly what they would get on gog because the second line from the answer in the faq basically makes it clear that there will/could be exceptions or special circumstances.

like everyone else, i can't merge right now due to the errors and current issues. but i hope that when it does work, the page that checks which games you are eligible for at least lets you pick the games you then want added to your gog account. that way, if someone is in a region where the GOG version of one of their existing steam games is censored -as in game code actually different or entire sex/violence scenes modes taken out completely- they can chose not to have it added to their gog account. that leaves them the opportunity to have a gog uncut version gifted to their gog account later.
The offer is not there to circumvent other rules. That said, there are perks: the version of saint's row 2 on gog is better if I'm not mistaken.

mechmouse: I got it to tell me the 3 games I could get then it died.
Same here. Hopefully it'll get fixed before the 5-day window expires.

same here
It found 6 games, I added them and nothing happened. Now the games disappeared and it just says:

YOUR AVAILABLE GAMES
-> and there's nothing here now

Also it found a lot of unavailable games, some with green check marks (I think I already owned them) and some with red check marks, no idea why they were eligible but unavailable.

Either way, nothing was added to my account and no games are displayed as eligible.

System is very bugged/broken at the moment.

Everyone having problems: it's not GOG's fault. Steam API is just getting hit with A LOT requests in a short time. Just chill and try tomorrow or so.

Does anyone know if you can connect multiple Steam accounts with one GOG account? Or in another word: Once you connected with your steam account, are you stuck with that account and can't change anymore?

The FAQ says: "You can only connect one Steam library per GOG.com account. This process is permanent."
