Treasure: Sorry for not putting the :P smiley at the end of the "half-virginity" part of my answer then (I thought to do so for a bit while writing it, but then thought that if I did so, the whole post might be taken too lightly).
As for the hypothetical sex situation, I haven't had anything like that happen to me, but I can still imagine the situation of course so I get your point, irrelevant of not having experienced anything of the sort myself. So yeah, this year's sale hasn't charmed me/drawn me in as the last one did. Guess my wallet's saved though so it's not too bad...
So tl;dr Just to be clear, a better expression would be that I've abstained from close contact (of any nature) with this current sale.
Not sure why, but I just have to say--reading your carefully and thoroughly articulated response made me smile.
Also, I'll join the burgeoning list of Gog-folk who seem to be completely agreeing with your opinion in the previous two posts to this one...
<sigh.>
In fact, I wasn't quite sure why I was feeling so nonchalant about this Insomnia, (even though I was initially excited from anticipating it before I actually saw the lists/prices/quantities!) But after reading your posts, I think you definitely hit the nail on the head. ;)

Just lost my "virginity" 15 minutes ago buying the last Kyrandia title I didn't own (3) for $1.19.
Don't think I'll be getting anything else. Stuff I'd really want -Dreamfall: Longest Journey 2, Elder Scrolls Redguard (or even an Elder Scrolls pack), Tales of Monkey Island (if it gets a 90% discount like it did before the price drop)- isn't showing up, and I'm not sure I want to get games I already own only physically- Monkey Island 1, Beyond Good & Evil, KQ4-6 (not that that's shown up).

But you never know! I'm pretty sure I'm not going to reach the 9 more games to get a free something, however.

I think Bigfoot is blurry; that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry and that's extra scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

This is either my 3rd or 4th one of these "Insomnia" sales. The first one jacked me up something fierce as I was staying up all hours of the night trying to get certain things. I now have a library of 110+ GOG games many of which I will never play....Sigh, what have I done all these years LOL. I will say, they have always been awesome deals, but this one isn't NEAR the same kinds of % off that the first one was. Most everything was like 75-80% off with a few 90% stuck in there. You were getting great titles for $2.50 and below in that first one I experienced.

Hahah...agreed! I had my phone browser on gog's page even when I went to bed. Isn't like that this time for me. And I notice what you're saying about discount percentages is true, probably because so many of the games are newer ones they didn't have the ability to discount too greatly...
It also doesn't help that there's no chance of freebies unless you buy LOTS of stuff this time ;).

Yeah, not cheap enough for stalking and impulse byuing like I did in the (I think) second insomnia sale.
Still haven't gotten anything myself but would take Kyrandia for $1.19 too.

Good job sticking to your guns on this sale. I've already got 6 in this one, SMH. Only went in wanting Renowned Explorers, and ended up with 5 more, DAMN YOU GOG!!!!!
