Since finding out that you cannot transfer your Steam account in your will i wondered what rules does GOG have about that case.

I am not really sure how they would notice the difference since your email and password can be changed once you've logged in. If you deal with that on your end then once again I am not really sure that they would care or notice.

Quite a lot of scope for abuse of the system. You would need to get into the whole "valid certificate of death" and "valid will" issue. With a lack of standardisation of these across countries, you would end up having to get them notarised (not cheap) and even then there's a fraud risk.

What you are describing is the state of your ideal world. How things should work according to you. There I agree with you. My ideal world would work the same when it comes to this issue. However, this does not reflect reality and the current laws. That's not how things do work.
