Hey guys, I bought The Witcher 2 a while back on Steam and started it up. It plays fine till the interrogation scene in the beginning. Right after that I get a infinite loading screen, SOMETIMES if I'm lucky it will load for like 10 minutes then go through however the loading screen after that will then load infinitely. I did read up on it and a lot of people said that you have to delete your saves and only have 1 save file for the game. I did try that, but it didn't solve the problem, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it with no success. I bought it now on GOG and it did the exact same thing, hell I even tried a pirated version a few minutes ago to see if that will work, but it still does the exact same thing. It can't be my rig either as I can run The Witcher 3 on ultra and in 1440p no problem. So if anyone came accross a problem like this and managed to solve it I would really appreciate the help guys as I REALLY want to play this game after finishing 3.

Was your refresh rate above 60 Hz before working correctly, or lower?

A lot lower. For some reason my refresh rate was on 23Hz, even playing normal videos was kinda laggy and I could never figure out why, the refresh rate's been the problem all along. However turning the refresh rate to 60Hz solved my infinite loading screen issue on The Witcher 2 instantly.
