blotunga: As for Pillars it's rather unlikely. More likely would be Divinity OS or Wasteland .
At $40, I'll say Lichdom occupies this round's "big savings" slot. But they did say $9 to $45 and Pillars would fit that. But yes, there are a few more likely options as well. Or one really, Blackguards, as all others are premium editions of something.

MarkoH01: Though shall not buy from other stores!
So problem solved :)
Yeah, religious zealotry solves lots of complicated problems for you. ;)
Got Book of Unwritten Tales and Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure

blotunga: I still have the SE, but some Pinatas look like they contain the regular. As for Pillars it's rather unlikely. More likely would be Divinity OS or Wasteland .
Honesly i would try the support to ask the regular edition converted to a special edition, if they ain't swamped (but it's more likely the case).. sounds like a bug in the first place.

in the first round for Gods Will be Watching only the SE was offered.

jakojao: In fact, the game is unrest and when i click on it i can download the bonus so ok it's the special edition. Thanks.
Glad, i was helpfull :p , there are some titles like this..... because GOG has some "bright" ideas >_>

MarkoH01: Wait - if your pinata showed Unrest SE then you have to get Unrest SE and not the normal version. You have bought it and they HAVE to give it to you. If it really was stated that you bought Unrest SE then I would contact support so they correct the mistake.
Edit: Read the rest of the comments after I posted, and then went and clicked. D'Oh!

budejovice: Snarkiness, meet snarkiness. Think I'll refund. :)

EDIT: Done. Wonder which dev I'd like to support. Will probably pick up Hotline Miami 2 or The Masterplan. Nice...
May I ask why you seem to have a problem with the team behind Quest For Infamy?
avatar
DubConqueror: I got Quest for Infamy. Seems like quite a nice game to play, according to the reviews. It just so happens, I only play adventure games once every so often. I've finished Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav and right now I'm playing Jack Keane (not the infamous Jack Keane 2, but his earlier predecessor). But I have a few dozen adventure games now (23 on GOG, 5 as Humble Bundle downloadable games, 4 as Steam games), so I'm not sure if I'll ever get round to Infamy.

I bought Quest for Infamy as a gift to my own email, but if anyone is really dying for it AND has something else I would like (but I can't help you tell what, as all games I know I like from this Pinata I already own, the rest I don't know and would have to look up), you might have a chance I haven't redeemed it for myself yet and might be willing to trade - feel free to make an offer and I'll think about it.
Just gonna take a shot here and offer Sword Of The Stars: The Pit: Gold Edition.

MarkoH01: I cannot imagine that they will convert any pinata into store credit. This way I could buy 10 pinatas and would have about 100$/€ Store credit for future games. They have never stated such things in the pinata FAQs either. Imo it's gift code or nothing.
avatar
Cavalary: They convert the amount you actually paid, obviously, so 10 pinatas is $30.
Ah, I understand. But still there is nothing stated about this in the FAQ. Is it really possible to do this without problems?

mrkgnao: I find that every time I approach GOG support is painful. ... (and wasting $3 is better than approaching GOG support in my book)...
Unfortunately, that's my experience as well. GOG support used to be pretty good and I was often telling people to contact them because they're helpful. Those times seem to be gone. Every time I've got a question now, I can see they barely read my message, let alone taking the time to understand what it is about. Answers are generic and extremely shallow. In my eyes they've become only useful for by the book standard issues, like refunding etc. More than by the book standard service is no longer available. Sad, but true.

It's not really worth going into. I have 1180 games on gog - need to keep one or two off my shelf. Yeah, Paranautical Activity is the other. :)

EDIT: PM response to your PM sent.

That is the plan (in my case I bought 4 pinatas but want to be refunded for 3 of them, so I just want my 9 US$ store credit back for the duplicates).

My only issue is that I'm a bit confused that after replying to the answer that I'm ok with store credit (and redeeming FTL) I got no answer back since Friday.

For the record, I bought 3 batches of 4 pinatas and the in the last batch there were three duplicates from the first two ones. I got the following in the first round of the pinata bonanza (keeping these games :o) )

- Machinarium Collectors Edition
- Outlast
- Guacamalee! Super Turbo Edition (dont mind the upgrade)
- Lumino City
- Shelter
- Lumino City
- Aarklash Legacy
- Gods will be watching
- Halfway

The duplicates from the last batch are (will be converted to store credit)
- Aarklash Legacy
- Eador, Masters of the Broken World (have already)
- Outlast
- FTL (keeping it :)

Was not so bad after all, but the last batch got mingled into one gift code :D

Just wondering if starting the gambling for the games after checkout outweigh the support costs for refunding these pesky customers who want at least store credit back :)

@coffeecup too late for me. Aarklash Legacy was on my wishlist and we could have made a deal.
Just sent a ticket to support to convert my unwanted games into gifts, fingers crossed...

I like the idea of random goodies but getting 3 puzzle games out of 4 was a bummer.

Well at least they are trying to improve. They are hiring.
