All of everything is back, plus some new stuff.

It's the incredible, the amazing, the stunning Indie Piñata Grande Finale!

Welcome to the final blowout. It's 24 hours of every deal and Pinata so far, all to bring this weeklong event to its grande conclusion. Among these exceptional offers is the return of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter - now in an all-new, totally improved Unreal Engine 4 <span class="bold">Redux</span> edition. There's the most delicious combination of words in gaming, also known as Sunless Sea, and of course - there is a handful of completely new Piñatas so you can keep on whackin' on!

What is the Indie Piñata?
The Indie Piñata is a whacky gaming sale brought to you by Crunching Koalas and GOG.com, a weeklong celebration of diverse indie games - organised to help gamers (you) discover great indie titles without breaking the bank. Instead, we'll break the Piñata! A lot.

There's so much stuff.
There's stuff alright, with plenty of video game stuffing.
We've got a hefty selection of deals up to 80% off - all indies, all highly recommended - this includes titles like Kerbal Space Program (-33%), NEO Scavenger (-50%), Legend of Grimrock 2 (-75%), and MouseCraft (-80%), so that you can pick and choose what you play (but it's probably best to get them all just in case).

Whack your Piñata!
If you're fond of surprises, for $3 (or your local equivalent), you can grab your own 100% whackable Piñata and find a random indie wonder inside - handpicked by us and Crunching Koalas. The Piñata can include games anywhere from $9.99 to $44.99, so there's a deal (and a satisfying POP) behind every swing - and we’ll be ready to congratulate those of you who show off your discounted gains on Twitter with the hashtag #IndiePinata!

The Promo and Piñata include a completely separate batch of games, so there's plenty of variety and surprises - we'll also rotate the Promo and Piñata lineup after three days, just so that things don't get too stale. The Indie Piñata promo will last until 9/18/2015, 9:59AM GMT. Just remember - check yourself, before you whack yourself.
Batter up!

It's the Indie Piñata at , as well! We&rsquo;re celebrating with tons of special promo streams. [url=https://www.gog.com/news/coming_up_on_twitchtvgogcom]Check out the schedule to know what’s going on over the weekend, and follow our channel for 4-6 hours of awesome, daily gaming content!

hummer010: Meh, my bad luck. I got FTL and Gaucemelee - both games I have on humble already.

avatar
Lodium: True, but its a pinata
Woudnt the point of a pinata be wasted if you knew its contents before you crack it open?
avatar
hummer010: You wouldn't know it's contents - just that you already owned the contents.
Ah, point taken
I tried continuing buying pinata until I got Republique or owned everything. I'm still missing Dreamfall Chapters and Republique but the pinata now gives me game I already have: DUST: AN ELYSIAN TAIL, LEGEND OF GRIMROCK in one transaction, and EADOR. MASTERS OF THE BROKEN WORLD and JAZZPUNK in the other.

They are sold out. Check the tracker thread.

Doh!

Thanks for the info.

yyahoo: I was given a pinata game I already owned and immediately asked for a refund, though store credit would have been fine. I haven't even received an acknowledgement of receipt of my support request yet. How specifically did you make your request?
I used the standard support form, specified the order number and asked for store credit for one of the games. If you also did it via the support form, maybe you did after their closure time (then you may have to wait until Monday) or it takes a longer time when dealing with a refund.

From experience, every request of refund I did went fine so I wouldn't be too much stressed in your case.

Not stressed at all, just checking to see if you did anything differently than me. Other than asking for a credit instead of a refund, you didn't... Thanks!

Zoraji: They were pretty fast in giving me a refund in the form of a store credit. I had received a game that I have no interest in playing and that no friends would be interested in either if I had converted it to a gift. I just submitted the standard support form, referencing my order # and the request for a refund.

I am done gambling and won't be picking up any more pinatas.
avatar
JediEagle: How did you contact support? I was looking all over the place but the standard form didnt have a refund option, so I chose "payment options". Maybe it will take longer to get to me :P
I had picked the Gift/Promo issue code option

yes thats what i've searched for
Thank you very much GOG support, that was so quick:) Cookies for all of you!

(Didn't want to reply to email because it opens a new query)
Thanks but no thanks, I got enough of the "random" purchase thing from the Luck of the Irish Sale. Might pick up an indie or two from the regular sale though.

Forum eating my posts again. :(

So the piñata can yield games that I already own, so that I can gift them? *laughs heartily* No, thanks!
My local equivalent of $3 USD is about $0,3 USD... I think that text should be fixed or changed.

Johny.: We're making sure that you only find games that you don't have yet. But if you already own every game hidden in the Piñata, we'll convert your spare copies to a gift.
avatar
SirPrimalform: Yes, but will we be informed before paying? You make it sound like we don't find out until after payment, which means at any point I might end up buying a game I already own...
There is no warning if you happen to own all games in the Pinata pool already. You will just get a gift code for games you already own.
This did happen for me anyway. I purchased 3 x Pinata and got a gift code for 3 games I already own.

So for me this was no fun at all. I feel penalized for already owning a lot of games.

So if you own a lot of games then you are at a huge disadvantages, so don't try your lock with this.
Otherwise you might end up get something good.
