All of everything is back, plus some new stuff.

It's the incredible, the amazing, the stunning Indie Piñata Grande Finale!

Welcome to the final blowout. It's 24 hours of every deal and Pinata so far, all to bring this weeklong event to its grande conclusion. Among these exceptional offers is the return of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter - now in an all-new, totally improved Unreal Engine 4 Redux edition. There's the most delicious combination of words in gaming, also known as Sunless Sea, and of course - there is a handful of completely new Piñatas so you can keep on whackin' on!

What is the Indie Piñata?
The Indie Piñata is a whacky gaming sale brought to you by Crunching Koalas and GOG.com, a weeklong celebration of diverse indie games - organised to help gamers (you) discover great indie titles without breaking the bank. Instead, we'll break the Piñata! A lot.

There's so much stuff.
There's stuff alright, with plenty of video game stuffing.
We've got a hefty selection of deals up to 80% off - all indies, all highly recommended - this includes titles like Kerbal Space Program (-33%), NEO Scavenger (-50%), Legend of Grimrock 2 (-75%), and MouseCraft (-80%), so that you can pick and choose what you play (but it's probably best to get them all just in case).

Whack your Piñata!
If you're fond of surprises, for $3 (or your local equivalent), you can grab your own 100% whackable Piñata and find a random indie wonder inside - handpicked by us and Crunching Koalas. The Piñata can include games anywhere from $9.99 to $44.99, so there's a deal (and a satisfying POP) behind every swing - and we’ll be ready to congratulate those of you who show off your discounted gains on Twitter with the hashtag #IndiePinata!

The Promo and Piñata include a completely separate batch of games, so there's plenty of variety and surprises - we'll also rotate the Promo and Piñata lineup after three days, just so that things don't get too stale. The Indie Piñata promo will last until 9/18/2015, 9:59AM GMT. Just remember - check yourself, before you whack yourself.
Batter up!

Stream watch:

It's the Indie Piñata at , as well! We’re celebrating with tons of special promo streams. [url=https://www.gog.com/news/coming_up_on_twitchtvgogcom]Check out the schedule to know what’s going on over the weekend, and follow our channel for 4-6 hours of awesome, daily gaming content!

hyperagathon: OK, so I bought one and got Shelter, a game most decidedly not for Linux. Hm, perhaps someone would be willing to trade me for Halfway. Or I'll just do a profit-from-my-bad-luck giveaway.
avatar
LiefLayer: thank you for the answer...
that is not good really, they create gog galaxy that recognizes the OS and prevent you from adding games in wine wrapper, so it must be a piece of cake to add recognize OS to pinata promotion.
It's not necessarily 100% reliable, and people using a different computer for purchase than for playing (for example, at work using WIndows, at home Linux/Mac) would still get shafted, but it'd still be much better than selling people products they can't use. $3 isn't enough money for me to raise a huge fuss over it, but I do think that's a really shady business practice, definitely not something I'd expect from GOG.

ricki42: Didn't get a reply but I don't think it limits the OS; I saw a tweet by someone why said they got a Windows-only game when they don't have Windows.
I guess you can ask for a refund, but I don't want to go through that so I'm staying away from this.
I tested it, and as you can probably infer from the above, I can confirm that tweet.

Seems like I lucked out and got the one game from the current deal I both don't own and actually want (Shelter). Good job I checked here before grabbing another.

The only games I seriously want... on any platform here OR Steam right now are Kentucky Route Zero and NEO: Scavenger.
What about the OS? Is there a way for me to at least know my piñata runs on Linux?

edit: I clearly should have read some of the last posts in this thread before posting my questing...

I'm not fond of gambling, so no piñatas for me. I prefer knowing what I buy before forking over money...

JediEagle: Hell, I broke and asked for store credit. I don't need the money back, I'll spend it on something else, something I know I want to play :) Hopefully the will grant the store credit. I didnt download any of the games yet so .... :)
They will. I got Randall's Monday in one of the Pinatas and asked for store credits. 5 minutes later, it was done so many thanks to the support.

I was given a pinata game I already owned and immediately asked for a refund, though store credit would have been fine. I haven't even received an acknowledgement of receipt of my support request yet. How specifically did you make your request?

They were pretty fast in giving me a refund in the form of a store credit. I had received a game that I have no interest in playing and that no friends would be interested in either if I had converted it to a gift. I just submitted the standard support form, referencing my order # and the request for a refund.

I am done gambling and won't be picking up any more pinatas.

GOG.com: We're prioritising games that you don't have yet, but in some cases you may get a game you own already - if that happens, we'll convert your spare copies to a gift.
Thought you guys might want to know the reason why I'm NOT jumping all over this. If you offered me a trade, I would have bought several.
Looks like a nice promo, shame im totally broke.
Maybe il take a wack next week when im getting my sallary.

0Grapher: No, we won't be informed before paying. I think that would be missing the point of this promo. :)
Not really, the last few 'random' promos GOG had informed you if your basket included a game you owned. It would have the little "This order will be a gift" note.

True, but its a pinata
Woudnt the point of a pinata be wasted if you knew its contents before you crack it open?
Meh, my bad luck. I got FTL and Gaucemelee - both games I have on humble already.

You wouldn't know it's contents - just that you already owned the contents.

How did you contact support? I was looking all over the place but the standard form didnt have a refund option, so I chose "payment options". Maybe it will take longer to get to me :P

Got Blackwell Bundle.
I don't like low resolution, but sometime in the past I thought about playing this. Might as well now :-)

But you wouldn't know its contents other than that it's something you already have, which is exactly how the previous random promos worked.
