Getting Sony to dust off resp. hand over the keys to the Psygnosis vault would need quite a bit of convincing though.
They don't come across as particularly sympathetic to the preservation cause and seem like they would rather keep their PC past locked away than to have it brought back to light and be associated with it.

Hopefully, with these upcoming popular Sony releases on GOG, one door continues to lead to yet another.

There are less-known titles that must be rescued from oblivion. For others, if there are (decent) pre-existing PC ports, I simply would prefer not to continue using original, aging hardware (nor 'alternative means') in order to play.

This conversation does raise some interesting points about what would be Sony owned classic games other than Psygnosis. My first thought, building off of the recent Days Gone release would be the Syphon Filter franchise as well.

twisted metal

And not the modern WOKE propaganda crap like Spiderman 2 (2023) or the newest god of war ragnarok game.

Since GOG doesn't port games themselves, don't get your hopes up for games not already on PC (unless of course Sony decides to port the games themselves). That said, I didn't realize Twisted Metal 1 and 2 (and Jet Moto) had PC ports; that'd be cool (and certainly Psygnosis games too and other old Sony games on PC) but unfortunately Sony may not want to deal with their old games.

Well, WipEout 1 recently got a major (unofficial) re-write to PC so I'm hoping for those, or that GOG can finally ship out PSX emulation in order to preserve these "ancient" games (if they did it would be a serious blow to Nintendo...).

Colony Wars Red Sun was the best Psygnosis title i know of. Not much interest for the other stuff but yeah... this game is a gem.

I can only guess how great some new version would become... it could even beat a already great Everspace 2. Psygnosis was able to go almost "all out" on a very weak hardware... optimizing was their second name.

Clearly... Wipeout ... truly was wiping them out, a well known but to me non-exorbitant game.

That's one small step for gamer, one giant leap for gamerkind :)
