These corridors sure are spacey.

StarCrawlers, a turn-based dungeon crawler set in closed space(s), is available now DRM-free on GOG.com for Windows and Mac with a 25% launch discount.

Dimly-lit cantinas in the outskirts of lawless space is when you can usually find the most skilled, specialized mercenaries. Also the best music. And if corporate espionage is your game, you know you'll need to put together a band of the most shady-yet-reliable people available. Those intrepid enough to hunt for bounties, undertake sabotage missions, and navigate the dangers of space while keeping you in good standing with all concerned parties.

The band of Juggernaut Games is also focused on keeping all interested parties happy. So they keep adding more missions, random encounters, diverse environments and tons of loot to their procedurally generated universe, taking into account their community's input along the way. For the remaining months that the game will stay in development, expanding the universe of StarCrawlers and fleshing out the campaign with more dynamic content are their main goals. That is, unless a band of ruthless mercenaries infiltrates their offices and wipes out all that precious code!

Pit your StarCrawlers against the randomly generated hazards of corporate warfare, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 25% discount will last until February 09, 1:59 PM GMT.

Note: This game is currently in development. See the FAQ to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community.
Hm, when I buy this game, how can I report bugs and feedback?
avatar
Maxvorstadt: Hm, I presume that there is no demo of this game, right?
you realise you get 14 days no quibble play as much as you like demo ...that's 1 of the main selling points of GoG's In Dev compared to steams.

Buy it ...Try it.. & If you Dont like it ...Get a 100% Full Refund :)

Already explained by the dev here: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/in_development_starcrawlers_c4739/post47

omega64: Why would DF or Telltale followers want to bring down GOG?
avatar
Vainamoinen: Not followers. "Neg followers". The kind of pricks who love to reiterate every little historical fault of a certain developer in detail every_single_time a new release comes up on GOG. In short, they practise the kind of ratfucking Steam doesn't even give you the opportunity to do – and well yes of course that hurts GOG's sales.
It would help if certain developers didn't keep making said historical mistakes over and over again. If they actually learned from their mistakes that would be one thing. That said I don't feel the need to bring it up all that often since I personally think the faults are all too obvious.

JuggernautGames: We have a built-in bug reporter in StarCrawlers that opens a Google survey and we'll be starting up feedback / bug threads in the StarCrawlers game forums today!
No login required, I hope?

budejovice: Sounds like it would be a good game. Maybe someone will release a game just like it. Maybe even Juggernaut. I guess time will tell.

Matruchus: I just love your sarcasm :)
Unfortunately I hadn't read the first few pages of the thread before I busted in here, and I kinda agree with some folks. I wasn't planning on being sarcastic at every unfinished "release" but there's not much else to talk about these last couple of days. Trying to keep it to myself starting... now!

Nope! Just an anonymous Google survey response, no login required.

Its on google, they already know everything about you.
One aspect of the pre-release purchasing that doesn't seem to get talked about as much is the fact that some folks prefer to play the polished, finished product, rather than the in-development version. This is akin to reading the published book or finished film, rather than the galley draft or rough cut. For me, playing the unfinished version somewhat spoils the experience of the final product. But there are many people who enjoy the evolutive experience of the game through its various incarnations towards completion. So it's very much a to-each-their-own situation. I just think it's useful to point out that some folks won't buy a pre-release for that reason, instead of (or above) other concerns.

amok: Have you meet Jonathan yet? If not, you will get along like a house on fire. I suggest you post your views in this thread once per day until gOg removes InDev.

nightcraw1er.488: Could do, have posted them today, so well on track. Thanks for the advice, will look forward to Gog removing the InDev per your guidance.
Good luck and good speed. Looking forward to your eternal spaming!

Certainly. Which makes it extra pervy when they ask for a gmail login... or calling anything "anonymous". :p

I came soooo close to buying this game on Steam during their winter sale. Glad I held off and now that it's on GoG I just bought it a few minutes ago...downloading now.

We need more sci-fi games (especially turn-based strategy) so I was happy to support this one even if it's not done yet.

vicklemos: Heard of Shin Megami Tensei!? :D

omega64: I have, played Strange Journey on DS and Persona 4 on Vita.
You don't dance around enemies in those though. :P
Thought you were sayin' about dancing enemies. My bad ;P

That reason pretty much fits me. It's same reason I haven't played Pillars of Eternity yet as i'm waiting on the rest of White March and the 3.0 update, and that game is no longer in development technically.

That's an interesting comment, because to my limited mind that was the only reason for not buying an incomplete game. What other reasons are there?
