Parks and (re)creation

Parkitect, a construction/management game for aspiring theme park owners, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com.

A great theme park must offer three things: a busy atmosphere of constant enjoyment, a safe environment packed with artificial thrills, and the illusion of magic at work. Finally, a passionate but disciplined individual who can pull all that off while turning a profit. And that's where you come in.
You have the tools to build and run the amusement park of your dreams, construct the most incredible roller coaster ride piece by piece, and make sure the guests stay happy, and oblivious to the nitty-gritty of your business.
Texel Raptor, the fellows behind Parkitect, are planning to add several additional features to the game until its final release: a single-player campaign, a functional resource system for shops, more ways to manage your staff, plus even more rides for your visitors to enjoy.

Build and maintain the most awesome theme park this side of the galaxy, and become the ultimate Parkitect, DRM-free on GOG.com.

New releases hiding in the excitement... this one looks interesting, but I'll have to wait for some reviews ;)
Looks very promising! Can anyone say what it's like compared to RollerCoaster Tycoon (1 or 2)?

meh
Looks like a nice RollerCoaster Tycoon tribute. Back to the roots. I like that.

Also huge thanks for the Linux version.

Looks good, but how many park sims could one human being possibly need? :P

Yeah.

Wishlisted.
Since it looks like one of my favorite all-times games (RCT), I'll keep my eye on this one. Looks to be a bit more "management" based. (Still not ready to grab a In Development game here yet...)
Aw yeah, RCT3's "proper" successor came to GOG!

Looks really cool and it seems like they're going for the look of the king, RCT2. Hopefully they'll get rid of the two pimples on the king's back by
having a very good path-finding AI, and
allowing you to choose between park entrance fees, ride fees, or a combination of both, on each level.

edit: also, more creative ways to torture park goers who vomit on my pathways >:( Oh yes, and I want to be able to tie vandals I catch in the act to roller coaster tracks...

Looks great!
I'll wait with my purchase till' it's finished though. :)
Looks like a project that deserves to be followed. Wishlisted and I hope the final product will be great :)

Definitely seems more like the first 2 RCTs to me. And it looks like they've made a lot of nice improvements to the formula.

Better a Park than a Bread sim...
