This seems very interesting. It has that kind of that slow-motion feel :) Good!
I'm watching it with interests but the drop in support from New Blood and taking the soundtrack away is concerning. I hope the two can reconcile.
Looks very promising, will wait for the full release.
Nice! There aren't many John Woo-ish first person shooters around.

Reminds me of The Specialists mod for Half-life

Though legit, Maximum Action is great fun, the modding scene is ready to burst for it
So it’s essentially Superhot?
I absolutely love Hong Kong action movies and I really liked Dusk - so I was excited about getting this game on Steam about 2 years ago (gog late to the party, as usual).

Don't repeat my mistake! Wait for the finished game, maybe it will turn out kinda decent. In its current state it really isn't worth picking up, especially at that price, even if you're a fan of Hong Kong flicks, retro shooters or both.
It really is more of a demo and needs more content to be worth picking up.
But the dev deserves support, especially after the newblood ceo has shown him his true face, besides calling potential customers idiots for asking for release dates or answering in a manchildren manner and becoming mad (with a potential ban) if you state any criticism or suggestions.

The removal of the music and the firing of the developer was the icing on the cake.

So, in my opinion, it's for the better that he split from newblood.
The moment I saw the graphic it immediately remind me of two games, N64 Goldeneye and No One Lives Forever.

I really want NOLF to be available on GOG.

Oh, this brings up a rather crucial point I completely forgot to bring up in my review: Maximum Action HEAVILY makes use of the Steam Workshop. Which begs the question: How does the gog version handle mods? Does it even have mods?

Seriously, if the gog version strips out the modding capabilities (wouldn't be the first time), I'd change my review from a tentative "Wait until it's finished" to a very definite "AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!"

I'd really like to see some clarification on this. Blues?

Not much to it at least on a public level. New Blood hired artists for the game but is no longer involved with Maximum Action due to "creative differences" As a side effect, the game's soundtrack has reverted to the pre-NB version. People are... not happy. The new soundtrack is definitely a step back.

Currently the game has nine levels I think and an hour+ worth of game time so it's not the biggest game around. Hence why I hope it is great but I'll wait and see.
Thanks for reminding me of this game. I got this on the other store and can't remember how XD
Oh so the ex-New Blood game finally has found its way to GOG. Nice. I might get this together with Viscerafest tomorrow.
Really excited to see this one coming to GOG. I may have asked the dev to consider releasing it over here regarding the discord. BalloonMoose: "GOG actually does have support for Early Access games, it's something I'm looking into. may be able to release on GOG sooner than I thought." A bunch of other stuff from their discord like mod support too. Thank-you guys!
