Fox on the run.

FoxTail is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Journeys needn't be epic in order to be magical or meaningful. Take Leah, the lovely fox of our story: she's smart, resourceful, upbeat, and she's on a very important quest. Just like in those good ol' adventures of yore, filled with whimsical characters, clever challenges with multiple solutions, and that effortless charm that never fades away.

Note: This game is currently in development. See the FAQ to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community.

Stop doing drugs! :P
installed and run...

unfortunately it is using wintermute and wintermute games perform very bad: excessive cpu usuage on a quad core 2,67 ghz, i have many games from wadjet eye ( AGS) and these work a charm, so i hope the dev can fix the performance, but i fear it won;t work cause the other 1 or 2 games i have (wintermute) also abuse my cpu usage.

Screenshot at windowed size at 640x360 and the cpu is to high for a simple point and click game.

Compared to oh sir! at windowed version: 9% CPU and this is a Unity game which shows that Unity games can be optimised, i have 2 or 3 good unity games that are optimised, the others perform pretty bad.

Anyway i assumed the game was written in AGS , but i forgot about the 'ugly' wintermute engine which is used to develop (point and click) games aswell.

Second game I have bought here that was still in development on purchase. I make a rare exception for this game.
I supported the Kickstarter and once that did not get enough support, I wanted it to succeed. the story sounded (and still sounds) interesting. Great to see it again, especially here at GOG.

gamesfreak64: i have all 3 games

Kyrandia and Kyrandia 2 were good, Malcolms revenge is 'different', the art looks 'different'
i like the art used in part 1 and 2 better, haven't played part 3.

Just bought the FoxTail game ...
if you like the art style there, i can recommend:

eye of the beholder 1 + 2
lands of lore 1.

both were very much in that style [and made by westwood, too] - they're all rpg's and not exactly adventure games, but they have WONDERFUL pixel art.

Part III is awesome!
Ooh, cute!
I like me some nice pixels.

And now for something completely different:

You know you're a cute little heart breaker,
And you know you're a sweet little love maker, hey
I want to take you home,
I won't do you no harm no,
You got to be all mine, all mine
Ooh foxy lady

Is there a reason why the Mac/Linux versions aren't offered by GOG?

It definitely looks nice, but I don't do Early Access.

They are offered, though. For some reason, the Mac/Linux indicators weren't showing but should be all good now :)

That's strange, the game card says (for Windows):
Minimum system requirements - Windows: 7 / 8 / 10
Processor: Pentium II 300MHz
Memory: 128 MB RAM

On the other hand for Linux it seems quite opposite:
Processor: Intel or AMD 64-bit capable processor
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Mmh, I mayy be tempted, a short point and click canbe refreshing! :)
Looks so beautiful ! It reminds me the good old Legend Of Kyrandia :)
Oh. So THIS is where the rest of the good stuff from Inherit The Earth went.
I'm so happy to see this game here, I had seen a video for it a long, loooong time ago and, for some reason, I thought it was no longer being developed. It looks so beautiful and I'm sure it's just the kind of game that I will love to play.

As many have said in the comments above, it reminds me of the Kyrandia series, which are at the top of my favorite adventure games (my avatar is Kyrandia).

I hope it does well and finish development soon. I wish I could support the developers, but I can't afford to buy it at this moment (the joys of living in a country with hyperinflation). Will get it whenever I get a chance, though. :)
