There was a game called Foundation on the Amiga by Paul Berkley.

Has this game got anything to do with that?

It's been years since I played, but it bears a passing resemblence.
what a relaxing trailer, I do love me builder games and this one looks promising, I dont see any timers or impending doom you race against which is a plus. Not a fan of the cartoony style (except those fat sheep!) but willing to overlook that for a game world that i can spend hours building and relaxing in. wishlisted
Anyone bought the game, what ya think ? worth buying now or better wait ? eh ?
Nice game. Looks right up my alley. Makes me think of an "advanced" Banished. How much is there to do in the game in its current state?
‘︿’ ??? Settlers 3d like game...., nice for the fans of the genre ....
Was hoping this game would come to GOG.com! Thanks! :)

ciemnogrodzianin: To be honest, I've never accepted converting RTS into 3D. Like with point&click adventures - I still ingore 3D dead end branch of evolution and accept only good old hand-drawn 2D niche ;)
Sounds really interesting, especially not being confined to grids, yet I hope that a turn-based mod will be in the works.
Like ciemnogrodzianin I like to take my time while making decisions and planning fortifications.
I hadn't heard about this game before, but it looks absolutely wonderful. This is the direction I would've imagined the Settlers series to continue progressing in, back when playing the first two. It could have happened, had the PC games industry not taken several wrong turns along the way…

Maybe I'll even open an exception and get it as an InDev title, after reading some opinions… but just watching the trailer really takes me back to my childhood, so how wrong could it be.
Game seems good, I will keep my eye on this title.
So no one knows what's going on with this 5% discount?

Depends on how you look at it.

It's definitely not a finished game. Some textual assets are still missing (but their intention is made clear by the descriptive labels) and there are a few bugs.
Also not everything is explained, so a lot of it is currently "let's see what this does."
Thirdly not everything that is implemented has a purpose yet. For instance, the hunting camp generates venison and leather, but there is currently nothing implemented that uses leather, so thegame requires you to manually dump it using a Warehouse. Additionally, it is currently not possible to populate the monastery.

Having said that, I've played it to the point where I had unlocked all current game content, and it is quite fun to try and build towards that, while keeping the people happy by making sure their living requirements are met.
That combined with the randomly generated landscapes every new game give it some replayability.
Also there already is an active mod community that can alleviate certain issues like nameless villagers.

Concluding: What is there feels mostly done. Some minor issues here and there, but nothing a few updates can't solve. I'm looking forward to the content updates.

I've logged ~6 hours game play, and I also like what i'm seeing so far. Definetly looking forward to more implimentation. I pretty much agree with everyting @CHibbyTraxX said.

I've logged several hours and progressed as far as I can in its current state. It's definetly not a finished game. Some progression paths dead end because features are not available yet. But I like what I've seen so far. It needs some balancing; which I assume will happen as more intended features come online. All in all, I'm still interested, and am looking forward to more releases.
Thank you guys for the info! :)

I love this type of games and this one looks absolutely amazing. Gonna keep my eye on this one.
