I must get my dirty hands on this one :)
Looks like fun, the animations are a bit clunky though. I hope they fix those before they release the final product. :)
Don't have the money right now anyway, so off to the wishlist this goes. :)
Looks interesting.

The Boardgame is fantastic - beats the pants of Gloomhaven.

If the story on this is half as "What the!!!" "Noooooo!" and "Damn my heart!"
A great story, a great boardgame, can't wait for this to be finished. :D
This looks like something I might enjoy. Any chance of a Linux version?
Who Devs are? http://awakenrealms.com/about-us/ doesn't tell much. I'd like to know where my money go.

I'm currently torn between this and Gloomhaven/Frosthaven. The actual tabletop games. May I ask why you like this so much more than Gloomhaven? I'm interested in all feedback.

Actually they are a well known company and established in the boardgaming scene. Their page on boardgamegeek is this one. On the kickstarter campaign for the Tainted Grail board game, they made a surprise announcement that a digital game will be produced as they have wanted to foray into the pc gaming scene. Also, as an added bonus, the game would be free for backers of the board game.

So I believe the development team is fairly new to this but the things I can attest to is their enthusiasm and passion for their projects as well as engaging with the community with respect, sincerity and they have made a continuous effort on implementing changes in response to feedback but also don't shy away from their vision just so they can please everyone. Even when certain decisions on mechanics are divisive or don't appeal to a part of their fan base, there is a back and forth communication explaining their reasoning behind anything.

From the board games I have played from them I have a great respect and only praise for their heavily invested narrative gameplay that sticks with you throughout the sessions. I can't talk so much abut the mechanics because this could eventually come down to personal taste and endless debates from boardgamers all over and you can explore that over at bgg.com.
STRONGLY considering grabbing this one even though I have way too many games. *Might* even break my rule about waiting for In-Dev gams to finish before I play it.

It seems like I could just try out the "rogue like" mode and leave the proper story campaign until the game is all finished up which seems like a nice little compromise.

Will report back if I grab it and fire it up sooner than later - when I first saw the coming soon thread I really wanted to support the devs, but I'm sort of bogged down by my backlog ; ) Not the worst problem to have.

Thanks, well pitched, you've sold at least one copy!
So I grabbed it and put in a (very) short time. REALLY early impressions - it's fun. I've basically made no progress and just fought a handful of combats, but the combats feel good with a nice pace. I like the early cards that give you basic options (block, little damage vs a few foes or a lot vs one, maybe a stun effect). And the perks you get at level up seem nice and "weighty" like they give actual real bonuses and not just some random boost to a stat you'll never feel.

I can't wait to start building out my village and get into the part of the game where my deck of cards lets me really decide how I want to build my character.

DEVS - if you're "listening" here - a few early requests. I'd LOVE a "hold mouse button" movement option. I can either use the WASD keys for some cumbersome but not awful movement, or I can click and move to a spot. I'd LOVE an option to "hold down" the left mouse button and continue to move in that direction sort of like in old school Diablo. Would make the exploration part much more "beer in one hand, mouse in the other" friendly and smooth ;)

Also, a way to zoom the mini-map once you pull it up with TAB would be nice.

Overall though, early impressions are positive and I'm excited to get in more playtime.

Has that early "FTL" vibe where you started the game up the first time, sort of thought you had stuff going okay, die and immediately can't wait to try again.

Disclaimer - I haven't given the campaign a try yet. I usually don't play In - Dev games until full release (I'll buy them to support a project I believe in, but will hold off on playing until it's a finished(ish) project). But the "roguelite" mode here just seemed like a perfect way to "dabble" in the game without really spoilering or burning out on the full experience. I'll save the campaign / story mode for actual release and just mess around with "runs" in roguelite mode for now.

Curious to see how the game evolves prior to release!
Looks like this one is being supported pretty decently. Two weeks of two major updates and I THINK the one I'm grabbing now is a bit one that adds a new character type.

Looking forward to it (even though I've been going with Human Revolution lately) - I still really like the "max damage" build of the first class but will probably give the new (druid I think?) one a whirl just to see what it plays like.
Another bump, another several sets of major updates!

I'm surprised I'm the only one into this one. The Devs are taking a very much "hey we're telling you it's unbalanced, but we're tossing it in there, give us your impressions and we'll sort it out!" approach to the way they introduce new classes.

They've been adding them in over the last couple weeks and always have a lot of enthusiasm - sort of like "We know it's not there yet, but wanted you to playtest them and get a change to experience them." It's nice to see them support the game so much, it's fun to try out the new builds and decks as they come into the game.

And they added in the "Hold Left Button to Move" I asked about in one of my first posts! Yay! ;)

The game itself (at least the "roguelite" part - I'm not touching the proper story campaign until release) is still a ton of fun and polished - no crashes, very playable and at least for me no annoying glitches, bugs or other junk. Still has that FTL one more run vibe.

I, for one, simply have no interest in "in development" titles. Once the game is released as a finished product it will get my attention. Or at least, it will have a fair chance of fighting for it with the other 90 titles on my wishlist ;)
