Not what you're thinking about.
Not achievements you unlock in-game, like you see in so many steam games.
But things gamers have done which leave your slack-jawed.

Two players (blindfolded) defeat Mike Tyson in NES.
I take my hat off to these awesome g̶o̶d̶s̶ guys.

What about you? Please share a video or story about impressive achievements.
A German "artsy" gaming mag GEE (R.I.P *sniff*) once had a story about blind players defeating various games (ie. Super Mario) just by listening to the music (for timing) and sound effects (for dying) and basically learning all the levels by heart.
I completed an actual race in Carmageddon. :P
I have completed baldurs gate (all, 1, 2 and expansions) a few times, notably solo with rogue twice and sorcerer. Have yet to do it solo poverty though.

What do you mean? I was the only one who actually ran all the laps. :P
In World of Warcarft Classic
Jumping from Teldrassil to Kalimdor using Feather fall
I have soloed SaGa 1 many times. Many of those times are with a modified version of the game (to allow Humans to gain mana), but I have done legitimate solos with an Esper/Mutant. Of course, I have had to occasionally manipulate luck, particularly with the Ashura fight.

I also beat Guadia Quest Saga (sub-game of Game Center CX 2) with starting armor. It's quite fun, as the difficulty gradually increases (although one realizes why the Green Guadia is overpowered; 2 MP for a physical attack that heals you for the full damage dealt, when the same Guadia also gives you a skill to restore your MP, is a bit much).
I played only one game over the internet so far (and that was ages ago!). Single Player FTW! :)

Oh Iv done that! >_<

How about defeating Zombie Brad in RE 2? He's a tough bastard to kill.
I beat Myst without using any hints or walkthroughs of any sort.

You're the "Puzzlemaster" which means your mind works like that. I'm not going to lie, I'm jealous as hell.
Nothing like those who really break games in terms of accomplishments, but I had fun in these particular instances:

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. Completed it without using the devils for combat (only for the puzzles) and with no health replenishment items. Tough, but what a great experience. The combat system shone as soon as you were not relying on devils in battle anymore.

In vanilla World of Warcraft, I sneaked into Lower Blackrock Spire to solo tame a Worg pet. Took a couple of tries, but felt like a real achievement.

My current time for Völgarr the Viking is 26'26" (ending A, no deaths). Could still be madly improved (world record is 15'28"), but I have other things to do in life too than practice this game (and am not a freaking god). Wanna go back to it sometime though.
On those handheld Tetris games, I could start at highest level (12 lines already present when you start) and highest speed (12) and bring it all the way down.

The mission statistics I got in Hitman 2. Please believe me when I say that this picture is not doctored with in any way (I wouldn't believe it myself, but here it is....)

I once beat Final Fantasy V with less than 24 hours on the clock in a week (including Omega Weapon and the other super boss). Not sure how that compares but I was pretty pleased with myself at the time.. probably the closest I've ever come to speed running a game XD
