MarkoH01: Yes, Mafia II Director's Cut is replaced with the new Definitive Edition - same goes for Mafia III. The only game that will stay available in the original form is Mafia 1 since the Definitive Edition in this case is a different game and not just improved in graphics.
Does anyone know if the original versions are added to your library (as extras or whatever) when you buy these definitive editions?

Regarding Mafia II: Definitive Edition, I can't confirm it since I already had the game before, but it seems purchasing Mafia II: DE also includes the original Director's Cut according to GOGDB.

I just noticed that this post-summer-pre-winter sale also includes another insomnia deal section. This time however with a much shorter timeframe ... do we already have a tracking thread?

Niffelheim is up to date.
I have been fighting with GoG for months to make it so.
But the DLC(s) you can forget about.

MarkoH01: While it IS true that we are still missing any DLC they released for Niffelheim (which thy always blamed on technical problems to implement them) the last update we received (1.0.12 from 04/2022) seems to be the latest.

Not the best sale timing for me. Can't spend for unnecessary expenses 'till god knows when.

Appreciate the new addition of Mafia 2 and 3 Remastered on my library though.

Nice surprise to see another sale...

... but...

... if prices on my wishlist are a good barometer...

... most discount prices have been stagnant for awhile (not seeing any real must-buy breakouts)...

... and a few longtime sale items have actually gone up a dollar or two!

Not saying the sale is bad, but there needs to be a few must-buy discounts once-in-awhile to keep sales interesting... or else they can strangely become mundane and fatiguing.

Exactly. Please, consider this, dear GOG, if you read this.

What is always the most intriguing for me is that they sometimes make all the effort to provide us some giveaways with a big sale (often very good ones, as e.g. the current one), but they don't try some spectacular deep discount strategy, which may bring the same attention and still make some profit for GOG.

However I still hope for some good offers to come in the sale as half of my wishlist is still not discounted.

For anyone who enjoys STASIS, don't forget about CAYNE, a short, perma-free game set in the same universe. Ratings and reviews seem to indicate it's not that great, but the price is right. ;)
