August 22nd, 2022 – The latest scientific research says the cheaper the games, the more you can buy, and the more your games library grows. That's shocking! Do you know what else is? The GOG Sale starts today and features +3500 deals up to -90%.

What is better than huge discounts? It's free stuff! During The GOG Sale, you'll have a chance to get 4 titles for free, starting with the first one right now. Stasis – a horror, sci-fi game, played from a unique isometric perspective – starts today and will last until August 25th.

That's not all when it comes to gifts! Classic game fans will be delighted to play Dink Smallwood HD once more, as the game became a permanent giveaway on GOG!

Big deals during The GOG Sale come with big releases to the ever-growing catalog of gamer goodness. Mafia Trilogy (-60%) is joining the GOG family, with Definitive Editions of Mafia I (-65%), Mafia II (-67%), and Mafia III (-67%) also available for purchase individually. But there's more! LEGO DC Super-Villains is available right now, with a special -85% deal. That's GOGalicious!

Stop, STOP! You can't handle more discounts. But we have a special deals booklet – you'll find hidden deals, new releases, and even FREE games! Don't keep it to yourself, share it with your friends and family! The GOG Sale will last till September 5th, 10 PM UTC, so don't wait!

JMB9: "The cheaper the game" ... yes, but this is not what I see.
Maybe it is because non-Linux games are not interesting for me,
but 154 games on wishlist and no one is really cheaper than before.
But buying nothing means highest money savings ...
And you don't have to be a scientist to get it, right? ;)

paladin181: Yes, please support the penguin. I'm switching over soon, and honestly, I would love more Linux support. MS will not DRM the hardware of my PC.
Really won't matter when the Hardware companies will have implemented DRM build in. So being on Linux won't help much.

Dohi64: a title as unimaginative as it is accurate. the same discounts as 3 times a week every week, absolutely zero effort. though somebody had to throw together that pointless booklet in 10 minutes, plus okay the idiotic insomnia bullshit again.
Honestly you are crying over nothing. Haha

Unfortunately, even without Linux filter it looks similar in my case :|
But I would not say it's uninteresting sale. Thanks, GOG, for giveaways (even if I already own STASIS) and some discounted games I might consider.

Soooo... why not? :P

Edit: adding some context - I do all my gaming on Linux and have done so for the past 4 years.

GOG.com: August 22nd, 2022 – The latest scientific research says the cheaper the games, the more you can buy, and the more your games library grows.
August 22nd, 2022 – Common sense adds that if there was an option to hide games we know we aren't interested in, the easier it gets for your customers to discover games they might like, the more games will end up in the shopping basket, and in the end your company will make oddles of money in less time.
Has anyone played In Sound Mind?

Yes, the game is worth more than 5.99. It's a great survivor Horror game with pretty good story. I was really surprised by it.
What's the case with The Mansion? 90% discount for an "in dev" game? Do I understand correctly that you have a great discount for a game that will never be finished?

Does it allow the player to save at any time?

They are also selling games like Niffelheim released here but a̶b̶a̶n̶d̶o̶n̶e̶d̶ a̶n̶d̶ never receiving available DLC released on Steam in 2019 and 20 respectively, a̶n̶d̶ ̶n̶o̶ ̶u̶p̶d̶a̶t̶e̶s̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶p̶a̶t̶c̶h̶e̶s̶.

Projects like Plane Mechanic Simulator or Soul Saga are also still sold despite the fact that both projects have been abandoned. Both aren't on sale right now. Still, buyer's beware and don't waste money on any of the games.

I posted this numerous times whenever any of the games was discounted and asked GOG to remove them. I never got a reaction, yet.

Unfortunately I have to agree, especially since the publisher told me the following in 07/2022

"In the nearest future the game won't receive further updates. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to stay up to date"

when I asked them if there finally will be ANY update for this so called "in dev" game which obviously is much more like an "abandoned, but we will still take your money for this unfinished and buggy game".
Thanks for the enhanced version for Mafia 2 and 3.
Since nobody answered me on the Neptunia forum here i go again:
Hyperdimension neptunia re;birth1 was there something missing in the past?
Just asking i still haven't bought any of the games in Neptunia series but in the past were some dlcs missing or are they still missing towards the ste** version.
Or do we have all dlcs or is there even any difference between ste** and gog except drm free on gog
Nice sale btw.

While it IS true that we are still missing any DLC they released for Niffelheim (which thy always blamed on technical problems to implement them) the last update we received (1.0.12 from 04/2022) seems to be the latest.

As far as I know they should be complete now since they released the second DLC package.

If you are interested in the history of the DLCs you can read this pretty interesting post:

Thank you, I apologize for not being aware of this. I have struck the relevant parts in my original post.
