Now we have two Ultima IV Quest Of Avatar (the free one and the one that comes with Ultima IV).

I had all Ultima and Might And Magic games, so now my library is a mess. :-/ Oh, and now Heroes Chronicles is unbundled in eight games! XD
high rated
This change is absolutely ridiculous!

Having everything bundled was so much neater and organized.
Backing up my games is going to be a nightmare now.

I don't care for galaxy as I will never use it. The reason I use GOG is because of the way I can download and install games currently.

GOG has a strong customer base with the way the site is now.
Why would they want to change this?

Grargar: A side-by-side comparison of the first two chapters. An installation of each chapter takes about 480 MB and out of them, only about 50 are different, which means a wasted 430 MB for every installed chapter (amounts to over 3 GB for all 8 separately), compared to the bundled version's 710 MB installation for all chapters.
Bloody waste. Of course, there's also the fact it's also redundant with Heroes 3, too.

What's really infuriating is the complete lack of comment from the unbundling team, some attempt to justify this or at least pretend to accept feedback. Instead, it's GOG knows best and to hell with overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
I'm glad that HoMM5's standalone Tribes of the East expansion is separate now, since that's the only one you need if you've already played the campaigns. Actually I think that you can even import the campaigns of the base game and the other expansion into TotE, so it's probably the only one you need period.

The Chronicles split does seem a little excessive though, even if seeing the covers for them is making me nostalgic for when I first played them years ago.
I personally dislike this change. What I liked about bundles was, I was able to download all the games included in one neat installer. Having the option to download the games individually would probably be okay for some, but when I'm backing up my collection, I like to get everything. Having the bundled installers made this more convenient. (Especially if the bundle includes lots of games, for example Might & Magic 1-6 and The Incredible Machine Mega Pack)

Now with the games unbundled, it's a bit more tedious, and as others already pointed out, wastes space. Also, unbundling episodes/chapters and expansions is just silly. If the games must be unbundled, at least find a way to make it optional, and still give us access to the original bundled installers.

Games in a given bundle seem to unbundle in frustrating order. My quest for glorys are in no discernable order and this irrationally frustrates me.

Other than that, I'm ok with them unbundled.

Unbundling Heroes Chronicles is insane. Please provide a combined installer again.

I agree with u. They should add a "magic button" to bundle/unbundle games. Its a pain to download everything separately..
Just took some time to check how the unbundling affected my library, and then took some more time to check why the math didnt add up for the game count:
- avernum 6 isnt listed on the unbundle list so i had 1 more listed than expected.
- Earth 2150 still isnt unbundled so i had 2 less than expected.

Not too troubled over this change, i already had all my installers backed, i might grab the new unbundled ones just for completion, and my external drive space wont be an issue for quite some time.

My game shelf is a mess now: (
This certainly puts pressure on providing better shelf-organizing tools
I hope you are working on new tools for organizing games as my virtual shelf is just a big mess, it's gonna take a while to sort it out.
The shit unbundling finally hit my shelf. GOG at least stuck a notice at the top of the shelf mentioning this which is nice.

GOG mentioned that they were working on a new account/library upgrade before this whole unbundling nonsense. Whether it will have more functionality or less remains to be seen.

This is a fucking mess. What are we even gaining from this?

Seriously GOG, can you explain how it's convenient for us as customers to download and install eight separate Leisure Suit Larry games over the previous all-in-one Greatest Hits .exe?

It doesn't even look good on the game shelf, as having games with the same box cover is confusing and looks tacky as hell.

I for one am less inclined to buy bundled games in this state, and sadly I'll have to dig up that old installer (which I have legal right to do so) from some crappy warez site because I didn't keep it backed up having assumed GOG would never change it for worse.

Guys, when companies make these kind of choices, it's up to us to call them on it - and this is absolute bullshit.
Anybody happen to know which unbundle of Disciples 2 now contains the "Servants of The Dark" expansion?
