madth3: Because GOG coders never use the simplest way to make something work if there is a convoluted one.
Sadly, very true; then any requests for a different approach are not even considered, because what do we know?

Of course it is; the question is whose convenience.

chronos: I'm fine with the game unbunding, but I don't like when you sort games by title some of the unbundled ones remain far from the others, like Blackwell Legacy in T section or Blades of Avernum in B section.

And I'd like to see games from the same series in the right order even when sorted by title.
Apparently GOG doesn't regard such inconsistencies as an issue; prime example is The Black Mirror which has been listed under "T" from the moment it was released.

I'm starting to wonder if extras given the generic titles "product_XXXX" is an oversight/ sloppy work that will be addressed later, or if
it's intentional due to it being related to the client in some way.
I got a question...
Maybe in this operation of unbundling that you are doing, you are also thinking about adding some new "sort" options in our libraries?
It would be really nice for me (and think for many other people) to have something like a "sort for (original) release date"... I would really love it. :-D

Let me know if you think this could be possible, and if it's better that I open a new thread about this specific suggestion. :-)

Thanks GoG!! :-D

What about unbundling of the old Bard's Tale games? And forum links at the bottom direct to the general discussion thread.

I don't think that's possible. The games are embedded in the main game and inXile might not have permission from EA to sell them separately.

As i suspected. Thank you for the reply...

Very much don't like this - at least without having an option to turn off. Especiallyw ith a large number of games, makes things much more cluttered. Further, and more importantly, it compromises my system for tracking what games I've downloaded - and what versions I've downloaded vs earlier updates.

I can seed the attraction, for many people - but we should have options as to how we wnt to organize our games.
Thanks for the advance notice, not sure how well I'll like it. As some games the installation files and redundant files will make them take up more space as individual games, and could make it harder to organize my shelf (even though I kinda gave up on my organization after prior changes). As others have said though there are advantages and disadvantages of doing it both ways.
On the subject of Quest For Glory and Police Quest: Is it possible that's a publisher-side thing? Leisure Suit Larry has separate installers for separate versions, yeah, but that's also Codemasters nowadays, while the others are Sierra-owned still.
Hey, so this is great, but I've got one request: would it be possible to remove the redundant copy of Ultima 4 for those of us who got the free stand-alone and purchased 4-6? It feels a little silly having two copies of the exact same game in my library.

You can ask support to remove the free game from your account.
Oh my god, I just looked at my account page and it looks like a bomb went off. I used to have the games manually ordered but now there's just a big pile of bundle fragments at the bottom of the page. Ugh.
My library is a mess now. No order. it will take hours to sort it all out. This could be a good idea, but only if we get at last the possibility to generate folders in our library e.g. for different genres, series, developers etc.
Someday GOG will recognise that unbundling episodic games and expansions is stupid and then they're bundling them again...
Individual covers for Quest for Glory 1-5 and Police Quest 1-4 would be nice.

I am with you on that one.

I like it myself. It's neat to have the cover art for each game. I don't see where it is any mess. They are all beside each other. Plus I like the idea of just downloading the one game you want. Altough I am getting a bigger faster computer today, this is good for those with limited space.
