Arjak: Oh, boy.

As if having to reorganize my games wasn't bad enough, after going through my library to download new installers, I am shocked to find that at least one of my games is MISSING.

No joke. I purchased the Quest for Glory Pack long ago, and after the 'unbundling', I do not have an entry for the QfG1 EGA original version! I am POSITIVE that it was in the original bulk installer. All the other games, including the QfG1 VGA remake are still there as separate entries.

It's probably just an honest mistake that needs to be fixed, but seriously, GOG, you need to be more careful. This is the kind of thing that causes customers to flip their lid.

They hid it!? What the bleep!? Why would they do that!? Not only is this insanely confusing to anyone who doesn't know about it, not only does it force you to install the VGA remake even if you don't want to, but it is also completely inconsistent with other unbundled series I own here! Leisure Suit Larry has an entry for both versions of LLL1, it even has separate entries for both versions of LLL6, where I believe the differences are small! Heck, the original Alone in the Dark trilogy they didn't even bother to unbundle! This is madness beyond even Sparta levels!

Matruchus: I would add to that the wish for an option to download bundled games for those games that were unbundled and will be unbundled in the future for people who prefer bundled games.
I already adressed the issue as well, if you read my request. I quote myself: "An option allowing users to bundle/unbundle games at will, both on shelves AND IN DOWNLOADS".

http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/give_users_an_option_to_bundleunbundle_games

P.S. I noticed some people already voted it, thanks a lot for your support.

madth3: Because GOG coders never use the simplest way to make something work if there is a convoluted one.

d2t: Totally.

Previously: ultima parts 1,2,3 is a single entry, and 4,5,6 is another one, then ultima 4 is there again as a separate one, then parts 7, 8, 9 are however completely separated while underworld 1+2 is bundled... not to mention some episodes of a single games being separated? "omg, so amazing, so perfect, so clear and obvious, it's like heaven but even better"

Today: every game has its own separate single entity entry: "omg, convoluted, gog is going downhill, drms are coming next, abandon the ship"
I have no problem with Ultima (although now they take almost three shelves - maybe I could have a folder? Drawer?), but Heroes Chronicles was best left bundled. And if they unbundle Sam & Max and add no order information (as they did with Blade of Arkania 1+2), things will get ugly in my shelves.
Woah... i had no idea what the Pitcairn Islands were until today... I thought that was some made up name. I had no idea there were still territories with less than 100 people today...

Ahem... the current issue I have with the unbundling procedures is that individual titles which were once bundled together as packages (i.e. Might and Magic series) do not link to their respective sales/review pages from the account shelf. It would have been better if GOG tested that out before implementing the unbundling, making sure each individual title included links to their respective bundles. It's only a minor annoyance, but hopefully the GOG website team will correct it soon, nevertheless.

The increased overall size of many full game downloads due to installers being segregated for separate entries is a more pressing issue for those who do not have 1TB+ HD's. Certainly, this could not have been designed with the sake of convenience in mind...

Matruchus: There are a lot of games that are still bundled on gog for now. Zeus+Poseidon, Pharaoh+Cleopatra, Earth 2140 Trilogy, Earth 2150 trilogy, Spellforce Platinum Edition, Blackguards Special Edition, etc. When gog unbundles all of bundles I guess everybodys library will double in size.

de_Monteynard: Please, for the love of all that is Holy, don't give them any more ideas!

Unbundling expansions for classical games is already the second craziest thing we've seen on GOG recently (right after "Grey is an excellent colour guys, really!"), so the more games they keep together, the better.
Nope, too late, Spellforce 2 and it's expansions already got unbundled. Spellforce 1 is next, LOL!

Don't hold your breath. Cognition was unbundled in September 2013 (upon addition to GOG). It still does not have the links.

Still, it's possible that, with a much more significant fraction of their catalog (especially in the classics section) unbundled, they might re-prioritize it.

Given GOG, I can understand them saying "Ehh, close enough" when it's only a handful of games.

I agree. It is possible.

Ahem, Spellforce 2 was always unbundled on gog.com since Spellforce 2 series was always sold separately here. Gog did not offer a Spellforce 2 bundle like other services.
THANK YOU GOG ;]

just want to add some positive feedback - not much of it in this thread.
Changes finally come to my account, no bugs detected and my hdd is very happy. Now I can simply download History Line 1918 and incubation without other games in pack
Perhaps this might pave the way to adding original installers or installation media to some games...
high rated
The funny thing about HoMM Chronicles is that the old installer (I found one from 2011 on one of my backups) already had an option for you to install only chapters you wanted so it already gave you a bundled or unbundled option at 660MB and was actually easier to use.

Spotted another one - can Incubation be renamed 'Battle Isle 4 - Incubation'?
Thanks
I'm fine with the game unbunding, but I don't like when you sort games by title some of the unbundled ones remain far from the others, like Blackwell Legacy in T section or Blades of Avernum in B section.

And I'd like to see games from the same series in the right order even when sorted by title.
