So, is no one going to install two parts of H3 Chronicles and compare them? That should be interesting.
The unbundling just came to me.My shelf went from 286 to 321 "games". From the looks of it, I'll be able now to download a big game more easily than before (Blitzkrieg 2), but the changes on smaller games look pointless to me and in the case of one pack (Dracula Trilogy) I didn't recall one of its products (Dracula 3) to be so big when I downloaded it!
Oh well... At least the covers look mostly nice (with the exception of Two Worlds 2-I preffered the old one...) and, on the positive side I reached and passed the 300 "games" milestone!
[I agree with most of this, but I don't think it makes much sense to unbundle games like Cognition since it is actually just 4 episodes of the same game -- just like Sam and Max, Back to the Future, Tales of Monkey Island, and other Telltale games. I don't want each episode of such games displayed separately as it will quickly make my library unwieldy.

For the same reason, it also makes no sense to unbundle two versions of the same game -- for example, Leisure Suit Larry 1 and Leisure Suit Larry 1 (VGA) -- simply because both versions were included in the bundle.

Hey... any idea on when manual changes to my bookshelf will save again? This unbundling has just been a mess. I am rather frustrated trying to get it back into an order like I had it before only to find that my fixes are not saved.

Rather annoying...

skeletonbow: I haven't downloaded any of the new unbundled things yet (no space). I'm wondering why it is bigger now though? Duplicated bonus items or something?

Grargar: We're not talking about the bonus items, but the installers themselves. Each of them is over 400 MB in size.
Ok, that's rather unfortunate. Perhaps later on they can consider updating it so the base game is the first package, and the rest of them act as DLC to require/depend on that and add to it.
I'm going to have to agree with most people here.

While I welcome unbundling actual games (like the Tomb Raider series or Ultima), doing the same for expansion packs which aren't really stand-alone or episodic content (even worse) is kind of a mess for reasons that have already been pointed out. It's a lot easier installing/organising ONE complete game than eight different "games" which are really all incomplete snippets with a lot of duplicate content attached (not just the base game installer, but also extras/etc.).

It makes it difficult to navigate from the shelf back to the game page as well - say if I wanted to recommend a game on my library to someone else there is no longer a link to share right from the library because unbundled content no longer links to anything.

If you have to unbundle expansions, at least collapse games the way it's handled with DLC in the library. There isn't really any excuse for splitting up episodic content in my opinion since everything bundled together IS one complete game.
Man, my shelf is getting cluttered... we REALLY need the option to group games on our own now. Please!
I'm fine with unbundling episodic content so long as each episode as released was standalone.

I'm not fine with an identical separate FLAC OST for each game in a bundle!

IAmSinistar: Ah, well, probably none this time. But stay tuned regardless. :)
You're such a tease! ;-P

And in spite my best efforts, a number of the unbundled titles sneaked onto my shelf. Now I need to check if there was any collateral damage.

Well, I did have some inside info that something was coming, and I did promise to keep quiet about it. Though I made sure to do so in the noisiest way possible. ;)
I really like unbundling, I mean, I want to have each game by their own. It's a collector thing. So I have a question, do you plan to take apart the alone in the dark series? Because I really want them splitted.

Thanks GOG.com!
I'm not going to bother with 42 pages of replies, but I HATE this. Things were fine with having all games under a single listing. Now I have tons of extra listings for no reason, it's taking up space needlessly.

Why not have like, a single Tomb Raider 1+2+3 page, with individual installers listed under it? Why does everything have to have a single box?

Its not just the box that is problematic. The game size has increased for some games by several times with separate installers..

Because they are separate games..And as stated above..its not the real issue here

Because the client is not coded to handle things this way?
