IAmSinistar: Just a question for folks using Manual Sort order on their shelves - where do new games appear when purchased?
At the very bottom of the list.

Just like GOGmixes. Ta!
Hey, so your unbundling process totally removed two games from my account; Police Quest 1 EGA and Quest for Glory 1 EGA.

Can't remove what they didn't place there to begin with. Those have been missing in action since they started unbundling both series.

Sounds like something they should get on. I paid for those EGA versions, I should have those EGA versions.

Yeah, hopefully they add those and finish unbundling soon. Only holdovers I appear to have are King's Quest 1-3 and King's Quest 4-6 yet for my library.
It sounds like the Police Quest and QFG EGA versions are contained with the normal versions of the games, part of the same launcher.

Things in my collection yet bundled:

Blitzkrieg Anthology
Earth 2150 Trilogy
Great Battles Collector's Edition
Interstate '76 Arsenal
King's Quest 1+2+3
King's Quest 4+5+6
M.A.X.+M.A.X. 2
Patrician 1+2
Penumbra Collection
Pirates! Gold Plus
Red Baron Pack
Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures

Quest for Glory EGA is there. It's called Quest for Glory (VGA Remake). No joke! GOG completely screwed up the unbundling with this one. Read my previous post here for the details.

It's probably the same with Police Quest.

That would resemble some sort of order, and I'd be semi-happy if it was the case for me; I get new games added at random spots on the last five rows of my shelf. no pattern, no logic, and it has put me off checking my games in Shelf View ever since the fresher, better GOG was introduced.

At least Fallout found its way back to my shelf - for now.

Half-assed effort if you ask me. They split the EGA/VGA versions of Leisure Suit Larry, but leave these together... why? So much for unbundled launchers.

Ah, okay.... still is pretty damn messed up though and incredibly inconsistent with everything else that they have done up to this point (considering most of the other games that they split have their own installers).
To be fair to GOG, we are somewhat cavilling at the mechanic while he does his work. ("Why are you taking the motor out? Do you think I don't need that, you dumbass?") They can either work on the system while it's live, which means problems and errors also appear live, or they can shut it all down and present it when finished. I think we all know how well we'd take to the latter. :)

And yes, I realise there is a third option, which is what we do in my IT shop - develop the new solution in parallel and then deploy it all at once when it's ready. But at the end of the day this is still GOG we're talking about.

There, that's my month's community service as advocatus diaboli done.

Wise words buddy, wise words. C'm'on, today is a good day, they're wise enough for a +1 :-)
