DyNaer: so they just placed the key in the wrong entry, i wasn't sure , if castle defense have a cd-key (i have it on steam, only this one not the main game, and there's a cd-key attached)

nevertheless i 'm almost sure there were only one key for the epic edition.
There was only one serial indeed. My complaint is that it's misplaced, not that they missed it.

DyNaer: and well multiplayer in the two worlds games, lol :)
Why, how bad can it be? :P

Treasure: I'm thankfully (??) mostly unaffected by this change for the moment-only the Cognition covers have changed for me, but this luck won't last for long.
You need to refresh your account to see the change.

Treasure: Seriously, haven't the GOG guys heard the saying "If it ain't broken don't fix it?" ?
They go by the saying, "if it's already broken, go ahead and shatter it".
I refreshed and gained one more - appears to be Avernum 6, as already noted.

I'm really going to try and remain optimistic. Some of the new box art is very nice, and it is nice to have separate entries in some cases (like Might and Magic, or even the pinball games). Some of them are a terrible mess, like Cognition or the Larry games... or Two Worlds II, which I didn't think was actually three separate games. (Is it?)

The real issues are the product bonuses and page links. Lesser issue are the games with bad or repeated box art, like Quest For Glory.

These issues should be easily fixable, however. All of them. EASILY fixable.

Should be.

If they are, I won't have too much to complain about, although I would prefer "episodic" style games to be one entry on my shelf...

I like the consistency in this one.

Two Worlds II is two games; Two Worlds 2: Velvet Edition and Two Worlds 2: Castle Defense.

Unbundled games have no more links to the pages where they are sold.
Ok... I did not realise that. This makes no sense at all.
And I now have Ultima 4 two times in my library... The free one and the unbundled one. But they have different version numbers and are different size.

And perhaps also the missing:
1) Mac OS X German installer for Wizardry 6/7
2) Mac OS X installer for Ultima 7
3) Mac OS X installer for Ultima 3
4) Windows Spanish installer for Two Worlds 2

[And that's just from checking eight games in the letters T, U, and W]

Yeah, I'd rather not... I'm fine right now and won't do something on purpose to change the situation-the change will have to come to me, I won't come to her!

That's obvious...Seriously, at times I wonder if I do well to support GOG with my money (I don't advertise gog to others anyways, as I'm the only gamer I know irl), seeing as they go and take stupid decisions all the time (most recently this unbundling thing and the german regional restrictions), but then I think there aren't many alternatives in DRM-free gaming, and GOG's at least good at the practical side of things (aka its games at least work and I can run them offline and all, which isn't a given nowadays). Anyways, hope they'll stay in business despite their stupid decisions at times...
Ok, I asked gog support for links to old versions of the games that they trashed (bundled games) so that I could download them to my hard drive but they don't support old formats anymore so the things are going to stay wasted as they are. Basically the old system has been trashed and is not recoverable anymore. Since I don't use gog downloader this is total shit. And I really don't get why I need to see HoMM Chronicles as eight entries in the library instead of one.

Lots of posts since I last looked in yesterday. Are most people being forced into the unbundling like in Grargar's instance, or are most people refreshing their account voluntarily?

I'm still bundled. Should allow me to grab the last of my updates that I couldn't get to yesterday. Then my hard drive file structure will function as my GOG shelf.

If anyone offers me the account refresh link in response to this, -1. :)

it's like the tomb raider reboot 's multiplayer : pointless.

Then why do I have three?

You do? Maybe one of them is Two Worlds 1?

Yep, you're right. Pretty dumb of me.

Okay, so, a bit of feedback on the process to date, purely subjective.

POSITIVES:

1) Some nice box art being added.
2) Separation of games that really are independent (such as Deus from the Robinson's Requiem bundle).
3) Ability to download and install individual games when desired.

NEGATIVES:

1) Unbundling of properties that really should remain bundled (e.g., Heroes Chronicles).
2) Some dramatic uptick in space required to store these broken bundles.
3) Poor alphabetisation/categorisation of broken bundles, leading to related games appearing scattered across shelf.
4) Disconnect between game cards (and purchases) - what's in the catalogue no longer maps 1-to-1 to your shelf.
5) Even worse shelf load time.
