I just noticed another issue with the unbundling: naming. Now i actually can't tell anymore what some games are expansions of, because GOG named them pretty arbitrarily. In same cases, they kept the original game in the name, in some others, they didn't. For example, what the hell is Planetfall? I don't know what bundle it is from. And i can't check it, because, being from a bundle, it has no description if i click on it, which is dumb. Might and Magic - Sword of Xeen, at least i know it's from M&M, but where the hell is it supposed to be placed? I have 9 M&M games in my library, where does that one is set among them?
This is incredibly confusing. What a mess.

By the way, it seems the request for an option allowing users to bundle/unbundle games at will, that i posted in the Community Wishlist, is doing pretty well, with 130+ votes at the moment, which means i'm not the only one on GOG that thinks this should be handled better. Feel free to check it and vote it if you agree. If enough people ask for it, they will probably listen: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/give_users_an_option_to_bundleunbundle_games

You can use MaGog to determine what bundle a sub-game is part of, simply by searching the sub-game's title (Filters -> Title... -> contains the string...), since MaGog automatically searches in both game and sub-game titles.

Here is the result one gets when searching for "Planetfall":

Ok, but why should i bother opening an external website and do a research when there wasn't any need to do it in the first place? It's pointlessly complicated. Wouldn't a simple option to bundle/unbundle games at will, more clever naming and correct linking when clicking the game's name be more natural?

What you suggested is merely a workaround, not a solution.

a) You're preaching to the choir.
b) If you find it more productive to wait for a solution, rest assured that GOG will leave no stone unturned in its tireless effort to make you wait.
Did they give up? I haven't seen any changes for a while now and at least Penumbra Collection is still on my account.

I presume they are (slowly) fixing the mess left by the first part of the unbundling, like missing language and OS versions.

The only thing we know for sure is that they gave up communicating with the community.

This will be another of their Half-assed implementations that never gets done right and leaves the system a little more broken than it was before. It is so frustrating that they are looking SO HARD at Galaxy (which is a NICE thing in itself) but there's so many other broken aspects of their site/system that they have ignored for virtually forever. Some of them are fairly serious, others are mere annoyances. Broken search features, the magical disappearing library, missing update notifications, there's tons of broken functions that they made and gave up on. This site is like the ADD of game stores. Start a project here, start a project there, go back to this one, never finish any of them.
I LOVE the idea of "unbundling"... IF you combine it with the ability to organize by folders (ideally, by nestable folders).

If I, for instance, have the option of creating a folder on my shelf (or perhaps it would be a "box" or a "drawer" or so forth, in visual terms) called "Star Wars Games" and inside of that I can create a nested folder (or whatever) called "X-Wing Series"... that would be PERFECT.

Sadly this rather sums up this whole thread. I guess nobody was assigned to stay in touch with the community on this one. Disappointing. Disillusioning, even.

This, among other things (like region lock shit) is the last stone which made me stop buying from GOG. It is all up to them, but I don't need GOG, but maybe they need my money. If not, everyone wins.

I'd like categories\folders too, but keywords are also very useful.
For example, that X-Wing could have tags like "Star Wars Games", "Flight Combat Sim", "Finished Games", "TOP N Titles", etc..

That is indeed true lately :|
I hope that they'll return to the old ways.
That last post about the Customer Care wasn't actually anything new.

This sums up pretty well my own feelings on the matter.
Nice change for the most part. Installing some games is going to take a little more time now since they are in separate installers but I don't mind that since I don't have to install games that often. My virtual shelf is even more of a mess now than if was before but I hope we soon will get a more efficient way of sorting the games on the shelf. As it is now it will take a lot of time to sort all the games to their right place.
Come on, can't some bluetext pop in and respond to some of the feedback in this thread? Can't some of the bugs also be fixed, such as the game links not working? Have they basically been not reading this thread for the past week or so?

This is starting to get irritating.
