xD I can't believe people are turning this into all kinds of conspiracy theories about GOG. From my point of view, this is nice.

Those who dislike the change, please consider that, instead of focusing in getting back a not-so-good bundling system, wouldn't it be more productive to request new ways to filter your collection?

Consider voting for
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/categorize_our_shelf
or http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/categories_in_my_collection
instead of the "option to disable unbundling" feature request. Those are much, much more useful, and fix the problem right away.

No, that wouldn't fix the problem right away. Because for those of us with huge collections (more than 626 titles on the shelf), the manually sorting is broken. We still can drag and drop the boxes, but the site won't save the changes. Should be first priority for GOG to fix that bug, before they introduce any new shelf features.

Amen to that!
My collection is way smaller than yours and I'm still pissed that I'll have to do my manual sorting again (once it's fixed).

And how does that solve the problem I'm facing now. I was just checking for new versions of Might&Magic 1-6 and now I have to update/download 6 files which takes a lot more time to do and these files are together much bigger then the one file i downloaded before. This being the one problem and the other is, as Silalus said, the ignorence of GOG concerning this thread.
Wow, some box art is lazy.

They probably originally used that Quest for Glory art because it was also used in modified form for the The Quest for Glory Collection.

Not sure why they didn't make new ones immediately though. Could be legal (more permission needed), could be technical (didn't want to wait for the art guys to find, scan, and shop away any dings and scratches on the original boxes).

Wow, am I late to the party or what?!

I had my games sorted quite nicely on my shelf and now it's a mess with a gazillion Larry games and such. It's not as bad as it sounds but I can only hope a better shelf will come out, because the current one is a weird beast.

You can filter games and you'd expect to be able to sort them and sorting them works as long as you are on the filtered results view, but it just goes away when you remove the filter. Moving games from the bottom of the shelf to the top is a bit hard. A multi-select and cut/paste tool would be great.

P.S. A tooltip with the title of the game would also help a lot, so you don't have to click to open then click to close so you can move the game on your shelf. That's quite annyoing.

It'd also make it easier for me to give a reliable experience for the shelf-view mode in my "Export to IsThereAnyDeal.com collection" script.

At the moment, it's guessing titles from the post slug-style IDs used in the game card URLs (to avoid making hundreds of XMLHttpRequests) and that doesn't always turn out right.

kneekoo: You can filter games
You can? All I see is a search box and two lousy methods of sorting, title (which is broken now thanks to inconsistent naming) and purchase date (which hilariously doesn't even group series together in some cases if you bought other things on the same order).

Are you talking about the title search box, or have been missing real filtering by genre/rating/etc this whole time?

silalus: ...
The search box is the filter, as you can enter things like "strategy" or "linux" etc.

Now here's a fun game: enter "unknown" into the search box ;)

Sometimes it seems like GOG doesn't know about test vs production environments.
They modify things directly and cause mess XD

It's the unbundled games. O_o
What kind of sorcery is that?
It doesn't do anything of the sort for me. It seems to only filter by title for me.

Actually, the search results to all the games that don't link to a game page; that list includes almost all my Kickstarter games too.

I guess so. Probably why it also includes X-Wing, TIE Fighter and Dark Forces 2; X-Wing and TIe Fighter being the very first unbundled games to come and Dark Forces 2 having a stupid name in the library (STAR WARS™ JEDI KNIGHT: DARK FORCES II - BASE GAME).
