Ok, I've heard of that game but never seen it. The bounciness there is definitely extremely excessive to the point of being silly. :)
edit in this first line: I'm for one, am against this.

Seems like the more easy entires, the ones with all ready split stand alone installers, would be split first.

Multiple games that come on a single installer, may or may not even be able to be split.

Still, 23 seperate GRIM entires? WAY WAY too much clutter.

ALSO PLEASE please correct your incorrect download folders, some examples:
Star Wars Tie Fighter Special Edition creates 2 generically named folders (something like gw32 and gw33)
Star Wars X-Wing Special Edition creates 2 generically named folders (something like gw22 and gw23)
Some stand alone DLC also has incorrectly named folders, if I recall, The Pit Mind Games is titled just 'mind_games' I think, so if you have your game folders in same folder and you go to instal, you may forget you even have mind games since its not directly in order following the base games folder.

As i already wrote, i don't actually mind that much, but it seems to me that sometimes Gog, despite being generally a good site, decide to make stuff that feel completely arbitrary. Like when they decided to change the prices from dollars to local currency, and the explanation for the reason given by some community managers was, more or less, something like "people gets confused all times, i know for sure, because a couple friends of mine do".
Thanks god people voiced their disappointment enough that they decided to make it optional. Why not making the same with grouping games? I understand that making it an option would be extra work, but if you want to change something, do it the right way or do nothing at all.

mrkgnao: In truth, the only true purpose of all this unbundling is to make it ever more difficult to notice that Fallout is gone.

IAmSinistar: To that end it may succeed. Hell, once they do this, I don't know if I'll even notice a game disappearing until I go to download it.
For all I know, I may already have lost and rebought half my library at 600-odd games. The Fallouts are still there, though, thankfully, and I'm fairly certain I haven't rebought them since they were removed from sale.

When I ran around with my dwarven paladin (yes, a female such) in World of Warcraft, I imagined them going "boing, boing, boing, ..." as springs from the way they bounced. Not quite on DoA's level, but not too far off.

I think the game counter on my shelf will hit the 1k mark very soon.
Soon as I saw this I started having images of 5 lines of chronicles of heroes of might and magic.
I am sure one of the games that needed this the most will be Commandos 2+3.

Being split will reduce downlad time by several minutes.

Grargar: I can't hear you over the sound of me clicking the minus button on all of your posts. :P
Careful! You might get a "critical hit", and then he's yours. No regifting allowed in that case.
You know on the bright side, your shelf count will be a lot more representative of the actual amount of games you own here.
Oh shit sakes, not new installers again. Even though I really don't have to, this will drive me crazy until I redownload them again.

Someone might want to give Pix a heads up on this in case this change will require him to update his Ultima Patcher again.
Googles bundling...wasn't that some kind of way to prevent sex in a long ago time? :-p Is GOG now suggesting something I don't really want to know about?

It wasn't so much about preventing sex as it was.a way to ensure a marriage. Everyone in town would know about the bundling so if she got pregnant everyone would know who it was.
We anticipated a lot of questions about which games will get "split up" and which will stay together. We'll be releasing a (hopefully) final list of games we'll unbundle soon, in this thread, so stay tuned!

Also, as for all other questions, I'll gather them up and try to get answers to 'em as soon as I can :)

Grargar: -Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition

I really have a sneaking suspicion that I won't like it.
I strongly suspect that there's going to be a distinction drawn between games that are bundled together in a pack and games that offer an earlier version of themselves as an extra, like his one ^ I could be wrong though *shrugs*

In general this doesn't sound like a bad idea but, yeah, 23 separate slots for GRIM does seem excessive!
I'm suspecting it might also mean that each episode of every Tell Tale game on here may, very well, get's it's own entry too! - That's how it is on Steam, anyway!
