The unbundling of Master Of Orion and Master Of Orion 2 has pushed my GOG Library into three figures. Do I win £5?

Heh. A pool. A bunch of people put money into a pot, betting on a specific thing, usually a date. Often done with birth dates to see when an expectant mother will deliver, or people will bet on which day something will happen. The winner gets the spoils. :P

Or I might want to send some of the people responsible for the unbundling and subsequent "feature" of automatic updates to a pool for swimming lessons. With concrete shoes.

I guess the current shelf may already be marked for scuttling, so no point expending any manpower on it. They'll probably replace it with some kind of barebone listing of purchased games with direct download links, for anything more sophisticated we'll have to use the "optional" Galaxy client.

Not that I'm categorically against using the client, if it offers proper tools for managing our libraries, and as long as games can be run and installed independently of it. But for now, I remain cautious in my optimism.

Not really something I wanted, but I'll deal with it. I liked the bundling of games, especially the ones that don't take up any HD space like Realms of Arkania, Avernum. or Might and Magic. I actually bought M&M in the 6-pack box 15 or so years ago and like the single box and its artwork.

Some of the artwork isn't original...for example the icon for Ultima 7 isn't the original box art, nor is the icon for Starflight 1. Zorks also.

Indeed, wasn't it supposed to be over by now? There's a handful of games in my library that haven't been unbundled yet...

Just got Two Worlds 2 split into 2 :S Velvet Edition and Castle Defense. I thought the Castle thing was a DLC so I didn't expect that. Hopefully the NWN games won't get any of this.

Oh, and Fallout 1 keeps disappearing.
