Just for the record , i got an issue with American Mc Gee's Grimm - Season 3 , the bin file wasn't grabbed by the downloader.

GOG took 5 days + (-_-) to fix the issue, so if anyone have a specific issue with the downloader and games unbundled, the support is the way to go. and if everything failed they could place the files on a ftp.

I gave up for the moment to backup the unbundled games, it's just a whole mess with the downloader... and unfortunatly for large file i need the downloader (due to my connection)

Dark Forces 2 had such an issue, ever since it was released, with the base game creating a folder called "star_wars_republic_commando_copy3" and the expansion, Mysteries of the Sith, creating a folder called "star_wars_jedi_knight_dark_forces_ii_copy3". Unfortunately, the naming issue extends to also getting the support page name wrong in the box's support section, making it impossible to visit the correct support page from your library.

Clicked on one for a recently unbundled game (Avernum 4). Hilarious items under "Help from the community" -- entirely irrelevant forum posts, all from 2008. Apparently, we're not a very helpful community.

Surprisingly, most all unbundled games have exactly 404 reviews.

Being honest with myself and the time that it would take to go through everything, looking at the boxes on the shelf is going to be the most that I'm getting out of many of those purchases so they could as well be neatly arranged for my pleasure.

But it's not really important. The important thing is just that they're available for download, and as the future is looking less and less bright every issue of Good News, it is increasingly important to have downloaded them already.

I'm not sure how easy it would be for people on windows to run lgogdownloader or to get over its command line interface, but I don't know what I'd do without it. Heartily recommended, it's all the client that you'll ever need.

As a customer with a lot of bundle games and terrible internet, I really approve of this method. Not only is it much easier to download games within a certain time limit, but I can now see the individual box art for the games I have, which makes me feel like I didn't miss out on anything I couldn't have experienced when I was a kid.

I don't see them doing this unless they can bundle it up with dosbox and a supported configuration. I usually just use innoextract on the windows installer.

The game is under the app/ directory, tmp/ is unnecessary. There's also some extra .dlls, dosbox with source, manuals in pdf that you can delete to reclaim space. And dosbox configurations that you can use with some modifications or base your own on.

Thanks for the info on the innoextract. I will start using it from now on. The thing is I would still much prefer to have the game in the unbundled form than to extract it from the installer :(

They add .tar.gz files and .deb files on a game-by-game basis as they manage to renegotiate their old contracts to add Linux to the list of platforms they're allowed to package the games for.
