It's not being anal, it's trying to be unambiguous. A MiB always means 1048576 bytes, but an MB is not really defined at all and depends on context. When it refers to memory it's usually the same, when it refers to hard disk space it is usually 1000000 bytes, and if you apply it to floppies it's suddenly 1024000 bytes.
You might think the differences are too small to make an issue out of and in this case they are, but when the sizes get bigger it adds up. A hard disk array of "8 TB" is probably a bit under 7.3 TiB.

paladin181: When downloading games through the Galaxy client it does not access the same files publicly available through the GoG Downloader or the GoG web interface. It was posted somewhere in the Galaxy Alpha thread by a blue, but I can't recall exactly where. Someone was asking why their game was updating in Galaxy but when he downloaded the installer it was the same version, and they were told that the files are from different sources.
Yep, we're doomed. Let's see how long it takes for the Good news!™ mrkgnao mentioned to make the front page. Count starts from the moment of the official realease of the client, of course.strawberrykiller

Tropico was split into two parts, Tropico and Tropico 2 Pirate Cove. In the description of the game page was a add-on named for Tropico 1. Is the add-on part of Tropico 1 installer or it´s actual missing?

I am okay with the change and will wait a bit before getting mad at issues that for all I know might get fixed in timely enough fashion. What confuses and slightly annoys me is the supposed timetable of the unbundling. Most of my bundles got changed in the first days and since then, nothing. Wasn't it supposed to be finished by Tuesday? I would prefer to play the shelf solitaire already and be finished with this.

I don't like the feeling of this change, I would actually prefer them to be bound by the game titles: ie Duke Nukem: Duke Nukem 1, 2 , 3d, etc. And just make them sub-items.
When you have a few hundred games and quite a lot of them are bundled, having them seperate will just make clutter.

I've had this problem since October 2014, so it's not directly related to the unbundling. I think it may be triggered by total number of games on the shelf, beyond some threshold manual sorting just stops working. I was somewhere between 600-650 when it happened to me.
I've submitted two support tickets about it, first when the problem occured, second in late January this year. First was answered "known bug, we're looking into it", second "not a high priority". So, essentially, "stop bothering us, we have more important things to do".

Well I see some good and bad with this. The thing that is actually really bothering me right now is the box/cover art. I mean my Larry games look great as they have the proper box art but my Police Quest and Quest for Glory games only have a new generic cover on them and that is just wrong. Please get the proper box art or allow us to add our own.
One thing that I have seen mentioned many times is the "unbundling" of episodic titles like Cognition. This should not be done as they are not separate games per say. It is fine to separate if the games are sequels not just new episodes. Or at the very least it should be looked at title by title to see what is most appropriate. Of course the best option would be to just have a toggle for each bundle letting people decide how they want them displayed. You can still easily list separate installers even if it only shows it as one title on the shelf. Then people like me that want to see some but not all of my titles unbundled could do it.
You guys have prided yourselves with always listening to your customers and fans, so continue to do so and give your customers the choice of how to display their titles.

The problems with manual sorting is way older than this - see , [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/bugs_20/post268]here, , and [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/bugs_20/post272]here. I can only surmise that since more than a year later GOG keeps adding and prioritising other things higher in their TO DO list, the bugs that plague the game shelf will never be addressed.I've submitted two support tickets about it, first when the problem occured, second in late January this year. tfishell: Y'all may have to make some tough choices in the future.
(I'm not speaking regarding anything specific, just that it's possible you'll have to decide if you want to keep supporting GOG or not. Personally nothing bothers me yet, but I don't have 100s of games nor do I worry about backing them up.)
Unfortunately I'm relatively sure my choice has already been made, but I will definitely amass what I can until that choice is forced in practice at some unnamed date in the near future. I think many of the most vocal have probably made the same choice already as well. The future is here...(I'm not speaking regarding anything specific, just that it's possible you'll have to decide if you want to keep supporting GOG or not.
