BeatriceElysia: I have 0.42 euro on my bank account, and my mum is buying me everything. I'm 23 years old and although I attend unversity, I didn't finish it. I was trying to get a job, but I plan to go to university again and it would be quite complicated to get a job, quit and go to uni again, since uni starts in October. Besides, all job application I fullfiled, I only got handful of calling bakc with negative answer. I have some stocks on stockmarket, but I have been unable to sell them.
I did publish one short story in local magazine.

I simply don't know how to make any money, any suggestions?
When I was a student, I worked at the checkout of a supermarket for 1 month in summer. I used that money throughout the year for all expenses my parents didn't pay for (they paid for: living, food, cloths, school).
It was still not a lot of money... CDs, computer games, computer upgrades... were a lot more expensive in the 90s than they are now.

So you quit university to gather some money? For a year? What kind of jobs did you try to apply for? Why didn't you just go for a student summer job? (since your mother is apparently paying for all essentials anyway) Or some weekend job?
Sincerely, playing games won't help you, and neither will asking a community of sick gamers...

I'm afraid you should start looking for an awful, exploiting and underpaid job until you get enough independence to find something better or learning new skills, like pickpocketing, cryptocurrency mining or whatever. Since summer season is coming, you'll probably manage to find something.

Good luck anyway!
Well... i'm sure writing is hard. Keep trying something wil turn out eventually.
Best wishes, hope your situation improves.
When I studied, all the people I knew were holding part time jobs. I was lucky, if I wasn't studying I was shopping or exercising. Must be simple jobs like cafes or bars you can work in?

Saw some complaints on twitch, some people not getting any money there so maybe that won't work.
You could always work in a Fish 'n Chip shop!

You wouldn't believe how much you can make a DAY there!

Waitress and/or bartender are good options if you don't mind dealing with people. Bartender can be good, especially if you're more of a night owl. Those are two jobs where you could have a lot of flexibility in the days you can work, which is easier to deal with while trying to go attend college classes. They are also both positions where you can potentially make full-time money working part-time.

Other than that - have you checked at the university you are attending? I know they often have positions available in the various student support centers (cafetaria, financial aid office, tutoring, academic advising office, etc.). I'm not sure how far along you are in your studies, but sometimes in your junior or senior year of a major, you may have the option of becoming a TA, which can be a paid position. Sometimes you have to be a grad-school student to TA the undergrads, but not always.
How about acting/singing/music? If you have the skills, you could just make a small evening show on your own. Comedy, concert, playing in a café. Many café owners will agree to that, if you're good enough. At first without entry fee, just collecting voluntary contributions. You don't earn much, but it will be some money and if you manage to become know, you can start selling tickets.

With acting that worked for me. It started out as a fun hobby. Now I'm booked out all weekends and it is a quite lucrative second job. And I don't have free weekends anymore... but the acting is still a lot of fun. So everything is OK.

Shadowstalker16: Make art / videos and get paid via patreon?

drmike: A couple of my clients do this as a side business and they do well.

Having said that, they're also paying out due to wrist injuries.

vidsgame: Another option you could try to enhance what you already might be good at is taking online courses from websites such as Udemy or StackSkills.

drmike: I know our library system pays to offer these course for free to their card holders.
Just saw your response. That's pretty sweet and a great thing to check with your local library.
damn, this thread looked so promising ...

but now it looks kinda .. abandoned ?
are you REALLY sure, that this is the right place to ask for advice about such a difficult topic???

Why not? There are a lot of serious suggestions here and only the very first one was lewd. Which surprises me quite a lot. Where are all the immature suggestions and comments? This forum has a bad reputation to uphold!

...What? Do it yourself? All right. Here are the insincere suggestions that have been missing so far: how about forging money? Running a scam? Or a Kickstarter for something crazy? Selling stock options on stocks you don't own (that's a big business model at the stock markets). Marry that prince of Nigeria who tried to push his millions on everyone a few years back. Dig for gold/oil/treasure in your backyard? Or, if you don't have one, somewhere in the wilderness? Or forgo money completely and live in the wilderness by hunting and gathering? Then come back and make a blog about it, calling it "The Paleo Experience" or something like that. Run from coast to coast like Forrest Gump and hope that people will feed you on the way? Sell Data to Facebook? They like Data, I've heard, you just have to catch him first. There are countless of possibilities with a bit of creativity!

Yes. I'm bored at the moment while waiting for my students to finish their assignment. :-)

In that case, good call. :P

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go to the dentist.
I don't know what's worse, the appointment, or the 50 miles I have to drive to get to it.

They used to promote it more, complete with posters in the branches. It's now just a blurb on their website:

ANY money? Surprised about that. One of my clients gets enough to cover her car's gas bill every month.

It's not a whole lot but she's satisfied.

I find some links on reedit about payout issues but they all seem to come down to "Ooops, I put the wrong numbers in for my banking account information. Was that important?"
