Whilst grabbing a game from Itch.io I came across a recommendation from the developer for the program Parsec. Supposedly it allows you to play any Local Multiplayer game Online. I'd not heard of it before, and it sounds very promising.

From what I read this one is pretty unique and their mantra is no bloat, but as I don't yet do multiplayer I am not up on all the aspects of it.
From all the regular complaints I see at GOG about multiplayer, I was under the impression that making local into online, was either not a thing or quite difficult.
Most of my multiplayer experience is from the days of the N64 and some Wii, especially as I never mastered the Xbox controller.
