Account refresh maybe?

I tried to find how to in the support pages but could not.
OK, just to make things 100% certain:

Those two title base games you don't have ... you DID buy them from GOG directly, yeah?

I'm not trolling, and you're clearly not a newbie to the site, it's just quite a few people pop onto the forum complaining games got removed from their accounts because they bought on grey-market reseller sites. It's just something I don't think you've made 100% clear, is all.

I have the email from paypal saying I bought it from GOG. I remember that being the price for the winter sale too. I try looking up the order number in my GOG order history and it doesn't show?? But the dlc expansion shows when I put that order number in. I ordered that after I bought this because my friend recommended it too me.

I made a screenshot but I took a double screenshot just incase some of the redacting I did can be peeled from the original somehow. I'm a little paranoid after hearing about that happening on some cellphone screenshot..

I redacted most of the order number and a few other things because im not sure if those can be used for nefarious purposes.

sJD777: too not even have a record in the order history!?
It's not unheard of. There have also been other incidents of games wrongly removed from accounts (as opposed to legitimately removed, in case of a purchase from a third-party grey market).

sJD777: Im looking through all my paypal orders and Im searching order numbers and more don't show up!!! I don't know for what games but I should be able to trust these will still be in my order history.
You can try the refresh links while logged into a web browser. Open one in a new tab, let it load fully, then do the same with the other. There won't be a confirmation message or anything. Just hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R) your library page and check if there's any positive change.
https://www.gog.com/account/refresh
https://www.gog.com/user/refresh

Also, if you're using the search box on the orders page with a partial string, make sure to wrap it in asterisks. For example, I can enter *tati* to find Deep Sky Derelicts: Station Life and The Final Station.

Everyone should archive order confirmation e-mails, print every order history entry as PDF, keep a local list of owned games, and save proof of payment. Ideally you'd never need them, but it's best to be prepared, just in case.
I also keep a local copy of my wishlist, since removing games from user wishlists without warning is just standard procedure around here.

Oh, hey, I didn't mean to say I wouldn't believe you unless you provided proof. Just you saying "yep, I bought it direct from GOG" would be enough for me, mate.

And yeah, GOG doesn't let you buy directly the DLCs unless you already owned the base game (or are buying it with the base game?). So at one point the GOG system did indeed recognise a base game purchase.

I'm afraid this all sounds very back-end Support-level stuff to me. Somehow an order has been revoked, or their user database has hiccuped. Time to endure the long wait for support, I guess.
Thanks for the help . I just replied to the support email I sent earlier this morning with screenshots of the order numbers from paypal. Maybe that will speed things up? Probably not by the looks of things. At least I downloaded the games. I'm glad paypal keeps record but I should keep my own just incase.

Ice_Mage Thanks for those two links. the bot gave me something like that but i tried them again from your post to see if it would work now but it didn't.

Braggadar you are probably right I will just hope that they get back to me soon but it might be awhile looking at some other posts on here.

I had some money and was looking to get Dethkarz (I remember this game years ago and loads of fun )and maybe a roguelike earlier today but not now until this is fixed .

Thanks everyone

fyi: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/warning_to_gogers_make_sure_your_orders_appear_in_your_history

Mine took about 10 days. I wasn't too worried that they'd make it right if someone looked at it, but I was starting to worry that for all intent and purposes, they wouldn't resolve it because nobody would have the time to look at it and my issue would just die out of neglect.

Now I know. They will eventually look at it, but it takes a while. Otherwise, once someone actually takes a look, they are pretty good about it.

It is not great for the retention of new users though. They really ought to work on that (either work on resolving those order issues so that if money goes through, there is simply no way they lose track of the order or otherwise, improve support responsiveness for cases like that).

Hopeful sign and fast reply. I'm working on resolving the missing games with them now and will update anyone interested when it's resolved. I thought it was going to take awhile but a day later was really good. I think the system hasn't update yet or something so I'm waiting and asked them if this was the case.

One thing is the email response was in my junk mail because it has "Prealiator" in the title so if some of you haven't got a response yet search for that. The title is "Prealiator (GOG.com)"

Thanks to all for the help

That's in the From/Sender field, not the Subject/Title. The sender is the username of whatever support agent replies, with the (GOG.com Support) suffix.
The messages shouldn't be treated as spam if you add support@gogsupport.zendesk.com to your contacts. You can also create a filter for GOG.com in either the From or Subject fields.
This is quite disturbing to read, i hope it will be solved soon
I'm still working out this issue with support. I guess something is not working to restore X4 and Homeworld and one other game order number. At least my support person is keeping me updated.

Thank goodness I had the emails from Paypal. Why isn't this stored permanently in the order history?

I will keep this updated if anyone is interested. But yeah for every purchase keep records from now on because my email only goes back so far.

Thanks all

It should be. Most likely a synchronization problem between servers. You should have your confirmation mails by GOG anyway which they can use for reference.

OP, Did you use GOG Connect at any point?

That is one way I see games disappearing from your account.

How would that work?
I used it plenty of times, no games disappear. As far as I know it only checks if you own the Steam games at the moment, when you activate the games and never again after that.

The user has got Paypal receipts for the GOG purchase. Ergo: nothing to do with Connect.
