I tried to keep it as close to the style of the original image as I could, although I don't think it counts as VGA anymore....
Anyhow, just a traditional hardhat :D.

He's a Viking now.

Shield and helmet for defense and sword for offense (which they say is the best defense), so he's got extra defense.

Pics are 512 pixels. You can resize to the resolution you want.

Version one has a background made by deviantart user: chaosdragon11590 (used with permission)
Version 2 has a white background.
Version 3 is a transparent png (no background) so you can use your own.

toxicTom: Think you can get the brick and the word play into the avatar somehow? I really like it. I know it's difficult - avatar size is pretty tiny.

You, uh, open an image in Paint, GIMP, or whatever and then you paint over it. Or copy and paste stuff from other pictures.

Like this.

For basic cut/paste job microsoft office picture manager is good too.

Or
dump your png pics in word document, adjust them according to your need, take a snapshot and your edited pic is ready.

Really cool!
In.

Two versions (slightly different colors). The JPGs are in case GOG is still blurring the shit out of non-JPG images when downscaling to the forum size.

Nicely done! The helmet goes well with the yellowish tint of the picture.

Thanks. It ought to as it's CGA yellow. The yellow in the actual picture is a bit off. No idea what I was doing with B. You wouldn't see both dark yellow & brown. It's one or the other. C is what I originally intended to do with B.
