mintee: yah, i often wonder when playing rpgs why they allow the player to rummage and steal everything not nailed down. some of the better ones have the npcs react and have a fit if you do but most they just sit there.
I do believe that some of the Ultima games (VII is one that comes to mind) and even the Elder Scrolls games such as Morrowind have NPCs report you if they catch you looting in their line of sight.

b_smith_81: RPGs, the modern sociopathic-kleptomainiac simulator! If it weren't for inventory limits I'd probably be hauling a few thousand tons of stuff in almost every RPG I have played.
You'd have to steal a few horses to do that.
Oh, except then you have GTA series, you can steal a few hundred horses at once. :)
