I was wondering if there is a way to Ignore a game or games on the GOG store list. Steam has this option for people to choose which games can be removed from their list, If there isn't one, would it be possible for GOG to implement this option so someone who may not wish for certain games that appear in the store list, be removed, Thanks.
If you haven't yet, it can't hurt to add your vote to the community wishlist item Being able to mark a game as "Not interested", and possibly also Mark games as 'already owned' (without purchase).
Is Jack Keane THAT bad?
The OP is a good idea but not enough. There also needs to be an option to ignore entire genres, like for example, if I don't ever want to see VNs listed on GOG.

In some circles that's a 4 letter word that gets you banned.
I totally agree.

Since the GOG is getting bloated with all kinds of garbage (like Steam), it would be very helpful to be able to filter out all the stuff I'm not interested in.

I'm going to fix that statement for you.

GOG has lots of games, many of which don't interest myself or others, and some are even crap in our view, so like Steam, which is admittedly far worse when it comes to bloat, we should be able to filter them out like Steam allows.

It would be nice to be able to do that, before GOG gets as bad as Steam or Itch.io etc, and it would be a feather in GOG's cap if they do it sooner rather than later.

It would certainly show that GOG care about their customers, something that many feel is now missing at GOG.

And it is not just about crap games. There are other reasons to filter out games we don't want to see ... genres we aren't interested in, games we already own elsewhere or on disc etc, games we are passionately against, etc. Even instances where GOG's own software doesn't recognize properly what we own.

Does this request also include necro'd posts too ?. :P

Why? Who asked you to? Your reply comes across as incredibly condescending especially as the OP had made themselves clear as to what they were asking.
While this would be good to be able to cull entire genres off my face permanently (visual novels, anything that's exclusively multiplayer), this will never happen. Hasn't so far and never will in the future. Gog probably views this as a hostile feature to their sales or are under some kind of brainless delusion that the more games you try to push down everyone's throat in whichever fucking order they decide, the better their bottom line will be.

Would you ever have believed GOG would remove the downvote button or to see the release of AAA games of Sega san before it happened?

Since we can't discuss other stores without violating a particular community guidline, which is quite ironic, considering the possibility to access their store(s), buy and import games to our personal library via Galaxy..., I hope it doesn't violate the policy by just mentioning that one competitor offers this option to their customers.

That's why I believe it will only be a matter of time until GOG will have a change of heart in regard to this matter as well.

It would come as a surprise if they thought it was. There is no difference between hiding a game and not clicking on games. In both cases they will not make a sale. The ability to hide games is going to speed up browsing the catalog, while also making it easier for us to discover games we are interested in, will translate into more sales in less time. Tracking the number and titles of hidden games could help them making better decisions as to which games to add and which ones they should ignore because they aren't like to sell well.

OP is 3 and a half years old. (original post, not original poster!)

The post I replied to was a necro post trying to equate GOG with Steam.

Steam does a MUCH better job of giving customers control of their library. As OP alluded to 3 and a half years ago.
Ignore button, please! I am sure many want to be able to ignore genres and tags as well but being able to ignore specific games would be a good start.

I agree with this, for the reasons you state.

On a personal note, I now refuse to browse through large sales pages, I only check the first few, and so anything that sensibly culls the number of games presented to me would mean I browse more, perhaps all pages. So it could only be of benefit to GOG and providers.

I don't agree with this, as there can be many reasons, as I suggested in my last post, why someone might want to hide a game. We don't want GOG making illogical assumptions.

Think about how many own games at Steam or on disc, and then buy them again DRM-Free at GOG. This would be a mixed bag scenario. Many would hide games they own at Steam or elsewhere, while many others wouldn't. The only feedback GOG would get that would be valid, would be from those hiding the games. GOG would not know how many were actually interested in the games from the remainder, to counter the negatives. The closest you might get to a positive count would be from those who have it on their Wishlist.
