New Year's Day. Christmas is for those who celebrate the death of a martyr, Thanksgiving is for those who celebrate the people who invaded the shores and took the lives of many real Americans, and Easter is for all of those who celebrated the so called arising of the martyr. New years day happens for everyone, as well as birth days. :)

Ok, Brunch definitely. Picnics are a mess and totally overrated. I'd rather sit down somewhere with air conditioning and eat a nice brunch: scrambled eggs, perhaps a croissant or two, some fruit salad with yogurt and a nice cup of coffee. How can a picnic beat that?

Sore throat, there are an infinite number of things that can invade the human body and cause the same symptoms, but the sore throat is a sign something is going to invade. I usually stave this off by gargling a hearty mix of water, salt, lemon juice and vinegar, all the the point you cant stand all of it, but gargle it enough for the bad things to go away.
