"No Steam No Buy" - GOG edition
same, havent used that other place in years, never wanted to but when fallout 3 came out I was forced to :(
not anymore :)
It's important some gamers make the stand, More will join us and all gamers will benefit. :)

Never will use Steam/Origin/Other DRM based digital download services, and never intend to. GOG is where it is at <3

Pheace: "No Steam No Buy" - GOG edition
There was a bit of a delay (4 years or so) but its finally made its way here.

There may be some unresolved bugs such as "social stigmatisation", "hair loss" and the desire to say "back in my day", but the developers are working hard to resolve these.

Current fix is to reboot (take a nap) when ever you feel sluggish.

The publishers hope this will soon be as fully supported as the Steam version and your patience is appreciated.

I'm trying hard to diversify my purchases to give smaller business a chance as well, but the fact of the matter is that only GOG maintains the policy to supply DRM free exe installers for EVERY game they publish, and developers that do publish DRM free elsewhere at least try to get on GOG as well.

In essence, those customer requirements play out as "If it ain't on GOG I ain't buyin'" rather explicitly, as this policy holds true even when I'm not buying from GOG. :)
Humble Bundle store are OK but they seem to be slowly dying.
In that case, I truly hope that GOG never does something to upset you.
For me it is more like:

I have so many interesting still-to-be-played (and still-to-be-bought) games on GOG already that I rarely feel the need to buy games elsewhere.

It is the same as with consoles. I am sure Nintendo Wii, PS4 and XBox One have lots of exclusive games I'd love to play... but I simply don't need them. I already have enough to play even without them, as it is.
I don't restrict myself to only GOG, but I do have a strict no-DRM policy on digital downloads.

I have bought one game from itch.io (Secret Little Haven, which probably won't ever appear on GOG), as I consider their policies to be acceptable (though I won't be buying any games that only come with a key and not a DRM-free download, but itch.io doesn't seem to encourage that).

Humble Bundle I avoid these days because they seem to encourage selling only keys rather than actual games, and they sometimes put DRM-encumbered games in bundles with DRM-free ones. Also, there's the problem of the monthly bundles being blind, so I can't be assured of only getting DRM-free games. (Of note, I consider Steam keys to have negative value; I've been known to spend 99 cents on a bundle specifically to avoid getting the Steam keys.)

Yes. Me too. It's convenient to have games here on GOG. But I also bought games on zoom-platform, humble (only DRM-free. Not interested in Steam-keys), itch.io and fireflowergames.
