Hello, i want to buy some games before the sale ends, however the ideal payment is not showing up, I mean, it is showing up but clicking on it should allow me to choose the bank I want to pay with, however nothing shows up! What could be the issue? I've tried different browsers, it happens on all of them

As for what's wrong, maybe your bank doesn't recognize GOG as a legitimate business? We're neither your bank nor Ideal's support team, nor will you have any luck getting any timely support from the actual staff because they made the grave error of using Zendesk.

Addendum: If you want something done about this, you may want to mailbag GOG/CDPR via more direct methods of contact.

Probably going to be best if a fellow user from the Netherlands would intervene and inform us what the typical behaviour is and the best course of action, be it a simple "try again later" or "do this instead".

Probably they broke it. There was an announcement a while ago that they were "testing undisclosed things on the checkout page". Maybe it got broken or this is the test?
While it doesn't help you short-term and I start feeling like an ad-bot: I think that SEPA would be the ideal (pun intended) payment system, by removing any middleman providers like credit card companies, if only it were accepted by GOG. The WL entry is there:

I just tested this and can't pay with iDEAL either.
The payment page offers me the option to check it, but the 'Pay for your order now' button at the bottom of the page isn't clickable. Other payment methods work fine. See the attached image.

Reading up on IDEAL, it may be part of the transition to WERO:
"European Payments Initiative (EPI) has announced that iDEAL will be replaced by its Wero payment service.[7] Wero is launched in Germany, France and Belgium in mid-2024 as a P2P payment solution, but the service will offer e-commerce/m-commerce payments from mid-2025. The launch of Wero in the Netherlands is currently prepared and foreseen for end 2025/begin 2026, although not much is currently disclosed about how a transition from iDEAL to Wero will take place."
The WERO site doesn't leave a good impression with me but I'm oldscool so don't take well to endless scrolling, large images with only snippet info, and generally being spoken to like Homer Simpsons retarded twin.

While WERO in itself might be a good idea for replacing PayPal, I'd still much prefer SEPA direct payment.

Same behaviour you described: the IDEAL option is there but it does not show the list of banks (it is an empty list) so the pay button is not clickable.
Guess I won't be able to buy anything during the last day of the spring sale.

I got a response from staff, there are technical difficulties with Ideal, so they disabled it. They don't know when it's gonna work again.
