Tranquil.Suit: Examples?
Look yourself. Duke Nukem, Blood, Redneck Rampage, Blood 2, Shogo, MDK, Every single Unreal, Painkiller, System Shock 1 & 2, Kingpin, Sin Gold, Medal of Honor, Rise of the Triad, Daikatana, Deus Ex, Thief all fall under $6-10.

People complain about Wolf 3D being $10, yet no one is complaining that Blake Stone and its sequel together are $12 at original price. That's two games versus the 4 in the Wolf 3D Pack.

Wolf, Doom and Quake are sought after titles, they're the cream of the crop, not to mention most of those are packs of games. Doom 2 has two additional games, Quake has both expansions, Quake 2 has all three expansions, the only one I can argue is a bit much is Quake 3. It should be around $10 instead, so i'm just waiting for a sale. It's not hard. RTCW fits right into the $10 range with the games I mentioned above.

Ultima 1, 2 and 3 were all released in the early 80's, and EA wants $6 for 'em. Activision wants $6 for a bunch of old text adventure games. Nobody gave GOG shit then, now DOOM and Quake come along and some people are wondering why they're "so much", when there are games of similar quality or lower on GOG that are not far from these prices. If you find some freeware games even better then why not go play those and just wait for a sale? Obviously the gameplay in these games [url=http://www.doomworld.com/]not surpassed to most.

InfraSuperman: Yep. I doubt there will be any change soon, either.
It's all about the swastikas. BloodRayne doesn't have them, so they happily to sell it to Germans.
But Wolfenstein? Nah, we can't have that.

Why in the world they locked Q2 and Q3 is beyond me. I suppose their rationale is that they're still on the "index" in Germany, but so is a whole bunch of other games on here that are still available to us.
When Commandos first came out I heard it was really popular in Germany. Lots of swastikas and nazis in that one...

In the international versions, sure. Unfortunately, those were both blacklisted (for the violence, presumably) and banned/confiscated (for the Nazi iconography) in Germany, so we ended up only getting a heavily censored version that reduced the violence, removed all the swastikas and cut quite a bit from those video clips you'd see in between missions.

Of course, the German releases of Commandos 2 and 3 received the same treatment, but strangely, it seems their uncensored versions were never actually blacklisted or banned here.

Here are some detailed reports on the censorship (in German, but the images speak for themselves; site is possibly NSFW due to occasional nudity):
Commandos 2
Commandos 3

And just for reference, here's the one for the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade adventure game. Note that the movie is and was always completely untouched here, with an "FSK 12" rating.

Don't forget, covering up the past and censoring history is the best way to make sure atrocities never happen again. Do it for the children.
It's too bad we can't really do a reclaim your game promo with the games that have CD keys.

Bethesda would never allow that. Ever.

JKHSawyer: 3. Complaining about these prices in particular is odd considering this site sells similar games for the same price.
Not to mention that GOG used to only have $6 and $10 price points back when nearly the entire catalogue consisted exclusively of old games. Additionally IIRC promos never went lower than 50% back then. Funnily that didn't strike me as too expensive when I first discovered GOG. Heck, remembering the high prices ID and 3D Realms sold their classics at I was instantly mesmerized by GOG's offers.

Admittedly the $20 for Quake 3 are a tad ridiculous, though, especially considering that there's Quake Live and it has become a traditionally paid game priced at $10 recently. One would think that Quake Live would be more expensive than Quake 3 being newer, (arguably) improved and still being actively supported.
