I'll buy it, at some point in time. Just probably...not anytime soon.

Namely, when more patches are behind it; discounts/sales happen; DLC's/expansions are released; and/or a Complete Edition comes w/ everything. It's inevitable.

I'll eventually end up w/ CP 2077 on PC.

I'll treat it the same way I treat all new AAA's - wait until it's finished (probably late 2021 / early 2022 based on Witcher 3's 16-month "release to final patch" timeline), and make a decision then.

I like your positivity in this matter, sir. This is a nice thread, for a change.

I am not interested in games such as Cyberpunk, but I continue to support GOG (already purchased stuff for the Secret Santa event and will purchase further for myself in the following days).
high rated
I'm not going to buy CP2077 (after all these years I've never even bought Witcher 3 for myself). But I'll keep buying games on GOG.

This store has been making plenty of stupid mistakes for the last years.
But the fact remains : if GOG collapses we won't have anything like it. At kraft not for a long time.
And - most importantly - many workers depend on this site for their living.
And I assume that the vast majority of GOG's staff has nothing to do with their marketing decisions. In fact I suspect that most of the staff probably disagrees with their management decisions.

Speaking from experience, when big companies go down, it's always the "small folk" who suffer the most. While the big guys (who usually are to blame for the collapses) always manage to jump ship and find other spots to ruin.

Things are not great in this economy. And they'll soon get much, much worse. So... While I can I'll try to support the GOG staff and their store.

And - if any of the "blues" ever reads this - thank you for your work. But, please... inform your bosses that they must start to get smart and set things straight, OK?

I'm certainly not going to buy Cyberpunk 2077 now... because I already own it :P. Yes, it's a buggy mess, but it will get patched and CDPR can keep my money until then. There's no need to play "give me back my money so that I'll give it back to you a year later". But to each his own - others may feel differently.
Way ahead of you.

Do I regret it? Yeah-ish. :P
I never intended to buy it in the first place, so no, I'll probably not buy it now or later on.

Likely I'll still buy my DRM-free games here though.
I'm not buying anything from GOG under any circumstances (hopefully this will change in a few days)
I'll buy it, but not before I have a pc that can run it. Which will be somewhere 1st half next year if all goes well.
With all the bugs I'll probably hold off playing and perhaps even buying it for quite some time.

As far as not supporting GOG/CDP due to their China/Devotion debacle, that's not an issue for me.
It's an illusion this is better with other stores/platforms/developers/publishers. They all want access to the Chinese market and as such they all will comply with the CCP.
GOG needs to learn from its (social media) communication failures.

I already bought it, preordered on the first preorder day and I'm glad I did because it's good fun, looks great, sounds great, and on top of that I get to experience all the hilarious glitches and bugs before they get patched out :D + thanks to the photomode I get to record the glory

You support the CCP taking down games and GoG fuckn over real gamers?
Oh, I will definitely buy Cyberpunk 2077 - just not right now.

Reasons:
- I am not willing to pay €60,- for a digital download only
- I'll gladly wait for all patches and bugfixes to be released, before I start playing
- from past experiences I know that it will probably take some time for me to actually start playing the game - and by then, it will be available (a) in a better technical state, and (b) for a (much) lower price.

So, waiting will result in a win-win situation for me.

PS: my brother, on the other hand, has bought it on release day (for PC), and he absolutely loves it.
It has been quite some time since I heard him speak so enthusiastic about a game.
Nope. But that is because I'm just not interested. Not my type of game ;-)

Well, if you state it like that i feel like very selfish since that did not even cross my mind! I just want to have the most expensive game of gaming history so far in my library and i want to be able to say... in a couple of years from now, " YES i witnessed the ( maybe ) downfall of Cyberpunk and affiliates from the first row
