I really should try it again one of these days, I have it on 360 and Steam.
Not sure why I quit the Steam version, all I remember (or think I do) is that movement was rather janky.

Agreed, Dead Space needs to come here but that will only happen if EA changes the way it regards gog. And that would mean a lot of other great games coming here: C&C games, Dead Space games, tons of sports games, Sims, Dragon Age, Crysis and other good titles, etc.

Really, that many wrong people. And yes dark souls is a contender for worst game ever (on pc anyways).

OT, if Dead Space were on GOG, I'd at least get to play it in English. It was free on Origin a while ago and I got it, but it was only available in German and (of all things) French.
I did like the atmosphere. It does rely a little too much on jump-scares for my taste. Those make me twitchy.

It could be the port, it really was so bad I never really got into playing it. Its rare that a game is so bad that I completely abandon it, after two separate attempts (plain and modded), but this one did it.

That saddens me, if only because Dark Souls is the one game that keeps me going right now - even though it seems determined to wreck my PC. General public seems to agree that it is indeed a terrible port, though.

Yes, really. I did, however, play some of it on my brother's PS3 in English by simply setting the console to English, which was the only reason I jumped on it when it was free - only to be disappointed.

I still haven't completed the game. Every time I pick it up, it just makes me want to find the people responsible for the controls and the FOV on the PC port and nail their balls to the ceiling...

Man, I just completed it yet again. Awesome game! Time for a re-replay with the Military suit, maxed out RIG, stasis, kinetic and Pulse Rifle!

That's a surprise to me, I've seen a number of playthroughs of the game with the PC version and it seems great with the mods. For example EpicNameBro's latest playthrough is on PC and I haven't seen anything that suggests a bad game.
I have also played it on my brother's PC, who himself played through it several times on PC without any issues.
I mean the game was never that pretty, not even when it was a console exclusive.
Is it the graphics that people are complaining about ?
