ZFR: I wouldn't be able to see what's outside if it wasn't for them. And they're nice to open when it gets warm.
Why not create a hole in the wall, does the same job

Expected this when I clicked on the thread, was not disappointed.

I'm particularly glad of windows at the moment as even with every one in the house open it's still unbearably warm at the moment...

darktjm: Funnily enough, I have one gog game linked against wayland (actually just its supplied llibSDL2 library). I'm not a big fan of Waland, even if it does solve a few problems with X. I'm also not a fan of pulse audio, which that same game also comes linked against. I seem to have fixed both by installing libraries (wayland is innocuous, and apulse eliminates the need for pulse audio) instead of trying to replace its supplied libSDL2. Now I'm rambling, so I'll shut up.
Which GOG game support Wayland by default?
Last time I checked, all major distributions change back to X11, or never use Wayland by default.

I am currently opening windows while playing games because my laptop overheats and the air circulation helps a lot :P

I use windows because it works and it's stable, crashes or anything like that is pretty much non-existant. I can run all the programs on it that I need to use, no reason to use anything else. Other than that I use BSD on server-side, dumped Linux years ago because it's just not good enough on so many levels and especially for desktop use.

I use windows because it's often the only way for me to view anything, but unfortunately not with every window because they are usually overlapping each other. Novel engineering, initially, but for me the overlapping is cumbersome and too much micromanaging to see what I want.

I had to put bug nets on my windows, because I friggin hate all those little buggers. Pesky bloodsucking mosquitoes, disgusting flies, panic inducing hornets and all kinds of little flying monsters used to get inside.
