I think we all agree they don't make good games anymore, if you disagree its ok i wonder why sorry for my original post was rude. Games used to be good, 20 years ago. Developers had to code hard to make their products sellable because there was no early access bullshit for '' Beta Testers '' or should i say guinea pig players. Nowadays games come out unfinished and riddled with issues or abandoned after some early access time... This i noticed mostly on steam tho. I have faith in Gog to bring awesome games and hope i'm wrong with this title and thoughts. There's still gems being made but they seem so rare.

This is the "they don't make 'em like they used to" fallacy.

There have always been crap games that were rushed together, riddled with bugs, and abandoned after release. The thing is, aside from the handful that are so bad as to earn notoriety (such as ET: the game) they are quickly forgotten. The only games from 20 years ago that are still widely remembered are the good ones. This gives a very skewed and rose-tinted impression of what the industry used to be like.

I can guarantee you that in 20 years there will be a new generation lamenting the fact that they don't make classics like they did back around 2020, because the crap early access stuff that got abandoned without being fully-developed will have been forgotten and the only games that are remembered are the gems.

Exactly; the good ones are remembered, and the crap is forgotten.

The same will be true of the games of 2020; in 20 years it will be the classics that survived the test of time that are remembered. The early-access crap that was abandoned and never finished will have been forgotten and you'll be grasping to even name of them because they'll be obscure and forgotten.
