JDelekto: Oh, good, my opinion didn't count. :)

I bet I have more games in my backlog than you and you're griping about the number of games? You should be standing up for more just causes like, "less idiots, more 'ons''".

Give it a good old college try for at least 15 minutes, I do that and if the game hasn't drawn me in by then, well, it was a good old college try.

i tried that with mass effect
and i tried for 6 hours and it still bores me

15 min isnt enough time though 2 hours sounds like a better cutt off time and more then fair amount to get to grips with the game if it stil fails to draw me in well at least i tried

and most of those 6 hours in mass effect was spend walking around and watching cut scenes
...whoo

Would it be better if you spent that time with another person there with you? There's nothing like collaborative boredom.

There was a kart racing game I played long ago with an awesome sound track on CD, got me really intrigued in playing games.
check steam and be prepared to laugh untill you explode, there's so many crap games released among the decent ones, i say decent, cause i havent seen an excellent game yet.
As for using one idea and change the characters a little:

Shower with your dead, awfull game, whats under the blanket another shameless awfull game

google result:

Rating: 9/10 - ‎1.753 reviews - ‎US$0,99
Jan 5, 2016 - What is this game? It is about a guy, who gets into an awkward situation
There are some good games and very good games imho that is: lords of xulima, chronicles of zerzura ( black mirror 2 and 3 creators designed this game)
And shadows on the vatican is a decent game, okay it uses 4 parts, but at 5.99 each its still an affordable price, i have chap 1+2, waiting for 3 and 4.

Other then that and minus some good casual games (alawar games), and minus the big bucks AAA games, most of the games are shit.

There are so many games with mixed or negative ratings, and yet these games are still available for sale.
I guess they take a chance in a game that looks promising and allow it on steam after the greenlight.
Maybe a better version of a greenlight thing might be something for GOG , since there are coming more and more alpha games (in development) and more new releases then old good games.
I wonder what games my stolen items went to fund.

darthspudius: I'm assuming it is a new trend in games. Walk, do nothing, walk so more, do even more nothing. I don't get it myself.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was already a youtube where you can watch someone else walk around doing nothing.

JDelekto: If this is the future of Virtual Reality, I hope they at least provide some very nice wooded areas to traverse and trails to explore.
I can see it now: Oculus Rift with the Treadmill option.

Actually, that's probably already in development, and it wouldn't be a horrible idea if you're going to get a treadmill and go VR anyway...

I think it's actually a great idea, getting input from fitness devices so you can move forward or back.

Needs more virtual sheep.
